I really, really like JASS. I just wish I understood it better, I wish I knew how to use structs and scopes and what-have-you! But I understand that it comes with time, and after friday, I'll have over three weeks of free time
At the moment, I've spent the whole today and half of yesterday learning and practicing JASS,and I think I've come quite far, although my first spell is still not working! But I do have a semi-major project I'm working on (cat & mouse game). Lol, as you can see, I've been on this forum for two years, I sort of come and go.
Its how I'm programmed (programmed -> Jass lol)
When I finish my major project, or when I get close to finishing, my mind starts spamming these random ideas, until i get about 4 or 5 unfinished projects. Then I stop WE for about half a year. And I'd rather see my creations bear SOME fruit than go to waste besides, I think I started somethin new with 'unwanted projects'
Lol i really prefer english! If i type in afrikaans, I have to think about it. I am pretty good at GUI, but I have no idea even how to start JASS, even though I'm beginning to develop an interest in it, it might be better for custom spells.
not speak it, but i can understand it 'adequatley.' Would you rather of ons in afrikaans praat? Just watch out, any dutch people around could probably understand us
I was just curious... I want to get an idea of the kinda maps u like. It's just a curiosity thing, I can tell you I like AoS's and defense type maps. At the moment, I'm not working on anything at the moment, but I have a ton of unfinished projects that'r probably gonna get binned soon. If you want any, just shout.
cos they'r at school rite now. u no, it just makes sense not to stay up late on a school nite... after all, u need to concentrate n all.
How long u been into wc3 map-making? Got any projects at the moment?
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.
You can get there if you click the bell icon (alerts) and choose preferences from the bottom, signature will be in the menu on the left there https://www.thehelper.net/account/preferences
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
