300 - Three Hundred

Hi,
As many other people when I heard of the film 300 I went to the cinema and watched it. Yea it was great and the same evening I decided to make a map that follows the film events. But only 10 minutes later when I logged into Battlenet I saw that there is already a map and someone hosted it. I joined and downloaded it and played with the other guys. But I didn't like it .
You see, a film like 300 does not appear very often. A film like 300 changes the way we watch films. So I decided that my map should be really good and I will try to put in all my skills in terrain, triggers, importing models and in the same time I will try to make it not very big (dunno how yet ).
I already imported model for the Spartans (its the Roman model with sword from www.wc3sear.ch ).
I also have an idea how to make the ribbons of blood on the battlefield .
So, I will appreciate any help that you guys can offer me , e.g. if someone can find models of Persians. I also need good ideas for spells. The ones I already have are for passives only.
I hope that the map will look really good and will be of the rank of the film .

talk to josepherion. It is his early map that got hacked and splayed out across b.net. We are working with him on it, maybe if you asked, he would help you, or let you join him

Thanks for your willingness to help me out Knocksious . But you told me that josepherion's map has been hacked. Why not protected it? Hope you do it in your current version .
Anyway I am making good progress with mine and I can share what will be it's name. I stopped on "300 - Three Hundred" (hope it is not taken already ). My intro is ready and most of the units too. And I have a question - I want to make the Spartans change weapons, e.g. from sword to spear. I have the two models but dunno what ability to use. Maybe something with Upgrades?
That's all for now about my map . I hope I will be able to release it soon enough.

Use the "Sphere" ability that is present in Non-hero abilities under human category in the editor. It is merely an effect skill that proposes no skill slot in the heroes arsenal.

I have found my weakest point in WE - making a loading screen . I also don't have the program that reads .blp files and I couldn't find it, so... anyone can send it to me or give me a link to it?
If someone wants to help for the map and is willing to make a Loading Screen (I will be very thankful for that ) let him do so and send the rdy file to me . Surely his name will present in the credits in the Loading Screen .
P.S. The Loading Screen should be connected with the 300 Spartans you know

About josephirons map, there are clues that he took a unprotected version of someones map and posted it on thehelper calling it his own. Because if you look at epicwar.com there are 300 maps, exactly the same as his, uploaded a few days before his first post.

OK I want to announce that I released the first full vers yesterday around 23:00 on my birthday . I was so tired that I have slept on the keyboard (omg ). And I woke up several minutes ago. Special thanks to all that helped me, are helping and are willing to help me in the future with my map . Here is the link:

Honestly, judging from the minimap preview screen I see and how long it took you to create, it doesn't seem like you put much effort into this map. Also, the map size is 2mb, work on reducing the file size. Nobody is going to want to try out your map if its that big.

Obviously, I haven't actually looked inside the map since I am on my non-gaming PC so forgive me if it's better than what it looks on the outside

The map is not only terraain - the real playable map area is small but I have putet original sounds, and have made several good cinematics (at least ppl say they are good and I like them too ). So that is the reason of the size. Everyone I have played with say its very good map but needs some more editing e.g. items and more different enemies (they are over 10 now lol).

I have played your map an it is really good but i have a problem. We kill all the forces and then reach the towers an destroy them but after that nothing happens ?

Defense of the Ancients is 1.99mb Is there really a problem with his map? It's .01 mb's larger.

I would love to help but i am helping a guy on this also. So i cannot as he needs many spells from me. And if i gave them to you or helped you i would be scrwed in helping out my clan member as this is going to be a big map.

On the other hand theres already 7 games of this out why would you want to make another?
