Adding files to the Mpq

Could you be able to add all models and textures you are using to the Mpq and then if som1 wanted to play your map all they have to do is replace the Mpq they have with the dowloadable one we supply?

Try it. Open up your War3x MPQ and add your models to get. Get your friend to do the same. See if the map will work.

You can add them with MPQMaster.

If you add them you may be able to access them with the world editor. Not sure though.

It is possible to swap the war3.mpq with another one temporarily before running a map. It is not possible to the best of my knowledge to read data from a totally separate mpq file. Permanently swapping your war3.mpq with something else will result in a patch overwriting it when you try to connect to Battle.net.

If by updating the war3.mpq you mean adding your Naruto models and low quality music, yes. Battle.net does not tolerate any modifications to your war3.mpq.

No, a program the simply swaps the mpq files. Then you run the map. And where would a host bot come in if you cannot play on Battle.net with a modified war3.mpq file?

It is a lost cause. The 8 mb limit wants you to surrender at once.

You can swap them. Before running Warcraft III and playing the map, that is. You cannot swap them while Warcraft III is running.

So Bnet will overwrite the current one, but is there like no way to access a different mpq in the directory?

Not to my knowledge. Accept the 8 mb limit. It is not as if Blizzard was denying you the right to vote or anything. Conform.
