Adding RiflemanWarCry sound to hero ability

Hello,

I made a custom hero, called Magni Bronzebeard. I wanted to give him the RiflemanWarCry (For Ironforge!) whenever he casts Berserker Mode (a % dmg increase ability).

I cannot seem to be able to produce that sound at all.

Anybody knows a solution to this?

Is the sound an already existing sound in WC3 or is it an file you have imported to your map?

You can base your spell off avatar which will give you the sound automatically.
Or you can add the sound by looking in the spell you made look for
Sound - Effect Sound(not loop)
Look under Animations and search for "Avatar"

I will be more specific since, my problem isn't yet resolved. :nuts:

I want to add an ability to the Mountain King model, namely:

Berserker Mode (ability):

- it increases damage by 50% for a set amount of time.
- when activated, the unit art becomes an Avatar.
- when activated, the unit shouts For Ironforge! (the RiflemanWarcry).

For the ability, I thought basing it off the druid Roar ability. I would add the Avatar art upon activation and set the Effect Sound to the RiflemanWarcry. This seems easy, but somehow or somewhere I am doing something wrong.

Now neither the art, nor the sound gets activated, only the ability.

I'm still trying to resolve it myself, but with no result yet :banghead:.

go to sound editor, find your sound, right click on it and select "use as sound variable" (or smthing like that) and create this trigger

berserker sound
events - unit starts the effect of an ability
conditions - ability being cast equal to berserker
actions 
- sound - play your sound

Thanks for the reply Kaboo.

Unfortunately, the sound file doesn't get played.

When I replaced the Sound Action with a pause game action, the game paused when I activated Berserker Mode.

So the trigger works, but something must be incomplete with the sound activation?

I just check and the way i told you works....
Making it bold to show you.
GO TO OBJECT EDITOR. FIND YOUR SPELL. LOOK FOR "SOUND - EFFECT SOUND". GO TO ANIMATION. SEARCH FOR AVATAR.
IF THIS IS THE WRONG SOUND. GO TO UNITS. AND FIND RIFLEMAN WARCRY I THINK.
