Any practical way to merge two files?

I'm working on a map with another person. I'm doing triggers and objects, and he's doing terrain. The only way I could think of merging to the two maps is to copy/paste the objects/triggers onto the file with the terrain (unless you can copy/paste terrain...that would be much easier). The problem is, you can only copy a single object, not a whole category or something. Sucks. And also, I need the terrain to make the triggers, so we would be updating the files relatively frequently.

So does anyone know the most practical way to merge two files?

well the only way i can think of is using an MPQ editor like power mpq and then extract the right file and replace it with the same file in the other map..

i do know that the war3mapUnits.doo is used for units and war3map.j is for scripts.. i sadly don know which one is for the terrain and stuff

Well, in warcraft 3 editor main window, trigger editor, object editor, go to file>import/export xyz.

Play around, explore.
