AoS style map

I have the start of my terrain, and a vague idea of what I'm going to do with it.

I want it to be an AoS type map, with two lanes. More work will be done on the terrain later (Doodads, trees, ect). I plan on using both items, and tomes to supplement the heroes. And I plan on having "creeps" traveling down both paths. I have two spots in the center for item shops and a "base" for each side for buildings as well.

I think it would be cool to have the no part of the map off limits besides the opposing base. So I may put terrain and neutral creeps on top of the cliffs, and then provide ramps at certain locations.

Daunting task so anyone who would like to help let me know. Ideas and suggestions are also welcome. :)

No, please no tombs. I find unless they are really expensive, people will skips item and go for only tomes, negating all your hard work and messing with balance.

The plan is too make the items more cost efficient then the tomes. Since you have limited inventory space you have to use both. Also items may give abilities that tomes can not.

I think there is a balance to be reached. =)

Do NOT use tomes. I'm telling you they will without a doubt mess up your map.

If you really want to use tomes I have an idea that won't effect balance too much. How about when a hero dies it drops either a random +1 tome, or it drops a +1 tome that increases the primary stat of the hero died. For instance if a strength hero died it drop a tome of strength, if an agility died its tome of agility, and if intelligence died it drops intelligence.

But seriously, I strongly advise against using tomes. Bad Idea.
