Applying Patches manually

I've already asked this for a long time on the helper.net but I still can't get it to work. I've downloaded the patches from blizzard but I can't apply them manually. Can someone help me?

When I drag it to BNU update, it says :This program is used to upgrade throught Battle.net and does not need to be run.

Yes. I got the patch 1.21b to 1.22. I deleted the 1.22 patch after downloading because my winrar couldn't open it.

if its an .exe why would you need winrar...

and also..

I asked if you downloaded a Full Patch, not a Partial Patch..

download the Full Patch then try again.

Ok, this is like a glitch or something because the first time I downloaded the full patch, it was an archive. Now while im downloading it, its exe. I'll tell you if it work after downloading.

Now I got another problem. When I start applying the patch, it says cannot create a path to wordedit.exe. It says that it cannot find it either. Can someone still help?

since the patch finds your file via registry( I THINK!)

it seems that something is wrong...

No, but my computer was virused like a year or 2 ago and wc3 was messed up from then.

tough luck... reinstall the thing then.. of course back up all da maps.. then add the "full" patch..

If you have the CD-keys you can download the games from blizzard store. (after you make an account)

I don't know how but it must be possible to get the cd key from your files. After all every time you log on Bnet it checks your CD Key so it must be saved somewhere.
