Auto Cast Not Working

Well I been up and down these forums, read lots of posts about auto casting but none of them directly relating to my problem.

I copied frenzy and gave it to a ghoul and right clicked the auto cast on but it doesnt auto cast, I got the correct range and target types set up but still not working.

Then, heres the wierd thing, I just added the regular default frenzy, did not edit or change it in any way and its not working either, so what the heck <_< why arnt any auto cast spells working?

The default Frenzy is not an Auto-Cast spell (i think so). Make a custom Bloodlost spell that can be cast on self (or what tharget u want) and change the movement and attack.
Or if u have some event to call the trigger, then Order the unit to cast Frenzy

oh so it was the spell and not my fault, thanks i will use bloodlust instead

its not working either, not even default bloodlust will work, what is going on >.<

my unit has more then enough mana and everything, ive taken every suggestion from every other auto cast thread and still nothing, ive done everything short of reinstalling the game cause i think maby something broke <_<

Um, and if it still doesn't work.
I've noticed auto-casting doesn't initiate until units enter combat, like frost armor or bloodlust won't initiate untill the units are damaging and being damaged, so are you just letting him sit or testing the unit while engaged with another?

autocast by AI is only initiated if it recognizes 'reasons' for it to cast. like battle.

it wont just cast while it sits there. it's not intelligent.

ya i been making it fight several necromancers, i didnt have those exact target types, just generic ground units, i then tried your exact stat settings and still doesnt work <_<

ive given up on auto casting and just making it a clickable spell but now when i remove the "click to activate" text all spell text goes missing even though i got the tooltip and extented tooltips filled in, i swear this spell wants to drive me to the grave >.<

I do not know what this does, but try make it Default Active Ability in the unit that is supposed to cast it.

Change the ability's race from Creep to something else.

still nothin, tried human and other, i am also using the default unedited blood lust its not working either so there must be something wrong with my unit itself <_< i dont understand it, it has the mana and everything and meets the requirements to use the spell, i can use it with clicking but it the auto cast doesnt auto cast...

geez, maby the last patch has something to do with this, i heard people having other kinds of problems with it too

i dont even know why blizz keeps making patches for such an old game

What is really odd is, when I tested this as a custom spell with creep as race, it didn't appear on my unit. When I changed it to another race it showed up and worked properly :nuts:

oh my unit has it, i can make him cast it manually too

it has both the default blood lust and my custom blood lust (i call it ghoul frenzy) both work manually but neither will auto cast, and ya for the sake of argument i did turn auto cast on with the border sparkaling around the icon

well, that can be a problem. 2 of the same abilities.
they'll have interfering orderstrings.
