Anyone know a way to prevent spell casting though a certian area but still be able to see though it?
This is on a map with no black mask or fog of war BTW. Also, It's all the same elevation.
I thought I remembered there being a way to do this...
Bummer, O well... I'll just have to code around it like you said.Pretty much you're going to have to make a few different triggers that check when a unit in the safe zone region casts or attacks. If the target (or target point - this is why you'll need multiple triggers/conditions) of the cast or attack isn't in the safe zone region, pause/order to stop/unpause triggering unit.
Some heros can buff/heal, which I want them to be able to do in the safe zone. Invulnerability sounds like a possible idea to solve the creep problem, although I hope it doesn't interfere with certian buffing abilities which don't target invurnerable unitsI don't know why you would want to have units within this "safe zone" be able to target each other...since it seems to me like you have some neutral non combat area. If that is what you're going for, adding invulnerability to your heroes when they enter (and taking it away when they leave) the safe zone should keep the monsters away.
Of course you could just avoid all these problems by extending your map bounds and putting the safe zone off somewhere distant (which would be ok since you said the heroes get teleported there anyways, right?)

For the meantime I've used the "order to stop" method... The problem is some abilities are instant and others are triggered so they still activate. I've done case by case triggering around it, but it seems very in innefficiant.
