BOSTON (CBS) – A 7-year-old boy is being investigated by his South Boston elementary school for possible sexual harassment after kicking another boy in the crotch.

The first grader’s mother, Tasha Lynch, says she was shocked by the school’s decision.

“He’s 7 years old. He doesn’t know anything about sexual harassment,” she said.

Lynch’s son, Mark Curran, said the boy that he kicked had been bullying him on the school bus ride home from Tynan Elementary last week.

“He just all of a sudden came up to him, choked him. He wanted to take his gloves, and my son said, ‘I couldn’t breathe, so I kicked him in the testicles,’” said his mother.

this is clearly a case of self-defense - and if you are being strangled you don't have that many options anyways.. I think the kid did the best thing possible given the situation

"All of a sudden" is very common in the imagination of a 7-year-old. And where's all this "sue" business coming from -- I was thinking the same but I can't find it anywhere in the text.

If a 7-year-old boy -effectively unprovoked- kicked a schoolmate in the balls; would it not be reasonable of the school to suspend the brat as an attempt to correct the behavior? He's not getting charged.
 
Shouldn't this be more of a "assault" instead of "sexual harassment"?
 
There should be no charges. Who the hell teaches "the act of bullying" at schools? Nobody should be learning how to bully others in the first place.
 
You guys are doing it wrong.

I can bring a suit against any of you for any reason in the world... It doesn't mean that it's true. I can say that tom_mai smashed my car window in but it doesn't make it viable. If this was a story of how the suit went through and the 7 year old was convicted... everything is different.

    Yeah Tom, me too sorry for your loss buddy my mom told me she finds out her olds friend died from Google searching them. She had not talked to one of her old friends in a year and found out she died from Google. Also another one in the same session. RIP all of them my sincere condolences Tom

    We have some elderly guests that regularly come hang out at the bar at the end of the night, and every once in a while we don't see someone for a few weeks and then someone shows up with their obituary.

    We usually let them do their memorials there in the morning if they want to and I'll make them some snacks and drinks.     So I decided to Google some people that I had not seen or heard from in a while and sure enough one of my old best friends, we had a falling out years ago but whatever, find out he died of Pancreatic Cancer in January. I have also lost a few of my closer acquaintances from growing up the last year. Getting old - people die - I kinda thought it was going to be this way a few years ago....
