Problems began after World Editor patch, which was installed when I returned to Battlenet in late February (sorry I'm not sure which Warcraft III patch it is, though I'm pretty sure it's the only World Editor patch).
I've been working on a map for a while, stand-alone RPG style on an epic map, with an epic amount of custom skins and models. I'd planned to trim the fat on the map eventually, however recently I have discovered I am no longer able in import any new models, textures, sounds, or anything, no matter how small.
The errors seemed to indicate insufficient memory (also, my ram is old and one stick semi-recently burnt out, though I had continued to work on the map and import new objects without error). However after removing numerous imported sounds, models and textures, the map would still not load new imports, and encounters critical errors after saving.
I should note, I can continue to run the map as long as no new imports are made. Also, I seem to have no problems removing models. I.e. The 21mb map file will still run and test fine (without crash or error), however if I try to load a new texture, model, or sound, no matter how small, into the trimmed 12mb map, Warcraft III TFT will crash on testing, and World Editor will crash if attempting to upload.
[If these file sizes seem grossly inflated to you, please keep in mind this map is in development, and is meant to be a stand-alone game, not for battlenet.]
Also, any new imports appear correctly in the World Editor, however critical errors occur after saving, in both Warcraft III and the World Editor (cannot read).
There is no problem modifying triggers, which at this point are still all GUI created. New units and doodads can be added, as long as they use game or previously imported models.
When testing the map, the Warcraft 3 TFT crashes while loading (just as the bar reaches the 'D' in 'L O A D I N G'). A generic Windows dialogue appears with the following message:
war3

I'm worried even if I delete all the imports from the import manager, I will no longer be able to import into this map, because it has been corrupted somehow. Can I re-save the map somehow? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
