In case nobody knew, (and I don't think they did), but i'm a huge Bond fan. I've got all films on Video, an soon on DVD.

And i've just seen Casino Royale, with Daniel Craig as the new Bond. And he plays the role brilliantly. The film itself is just great. A chase scene near the start is brilliantly done. Bond crashes through walls and even scales a crane in pursuit of a suicide bomber. The drop from the top of the crane (100ft) to the bottom was done well, but I won't spoil any more of that for anyone who wants to see it for themselves.

A brilliant quote I can get from the film was:

Bond (While being tortured): "Oh, i've got a really bad itch. Just to the left." (Villian beats him with rope on Balls).

Bond: "Owwwww! NO! Owwww! I said to the left!"
(Villian beats him with rope)

Bond: "Owwwww! Yes! That's good! That's the spot!"
(Starts laughing)

Villian: "Why are you laughing?

Bond: "Because now the whole world's gonna know you died scratchin my balls!"

Craig brings a great sense of humour to the role that is nothing like i've seen in the other Bonds, and has a slight arrogance to him. For example, when he is just recovering from a situation in which he was poisoned and had to be resusitated in his car, he is instructed to go to a hospital. But he says: "Okay... after i've finished this game."

But the film would have been a hell of a lot better if it was set in Cold War Russia, as in the novel. The plot would probably have made a lot more sense.

And there's no Q! I'm in a state of shock!

I haven't seen this yet, and I'm one of the people who has a problem with bond being blonde, and he doesn't give the impression of being James bond. He's too muscular and kung-fu instead of charming and quick-thinking like the other bond actors, Brosnan in particular.

I think I'm going to watch it as an action film, not as a bond film.

I too, have heard some amazing reviews about the moving. Reading your post though, reiforces the urge to see it. Though since none of my friends really want to see it, it will be a while until I do because I hate seeing movies alone :p

Anyways, I really do love the James Bond, all of their actors are great, actions amazing, stories interesting too.

I am getting into the habit of going out to (Don't laugh) garage/yard saling (sp?), to get all the cheap VHSs and DVDs I can find. So far I bought 100 VHSs for $0.25 to $0.50 each. Thats called saving money :D

The best part of that is, I am getting a tonne of great and classic movies, including some Bond films. Though I haven't seen most of the older ones, so that will be my goal for the next bit, besides getting SC : DA for taylor.

Anyways, all I have to say is:

BOND RULES, and have a great day :)

Alright, for all you huge Bond fans, don't hate me after reading my post, but...

This was the best Bond film, ever. I actually liked the fact that there was no Q. Without all the gadgets, it made the movie seem more like a plausible spy scenario. And let me say that Daniel Craig makes an awesome Bond. He is so much better than, say, Pierce Brosnan. This guy looks like someone who could actually kill. And, yet, they keep his killing to a minimum, like a real spy would.

This movie was about the storyline, not the action. In my book, that makes it better than any Bond movie I have ever seen.

Did he get any girls in bed?

If he didn't, it's not a real Bond movie :D

Yes, he did. The movie even had some actual love. I won't say any more, for fear of ruining it.

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
