A Chicago woman said she listed her home for sale, but, shortly after, a stranger moved in and is refusing to leave.
When Danielle Cruz called police, they told her there wasn't much they could do.
Now she can barely stand to look at the property.
"It just brings back nothing but bad energy for me," she said.
Cruz said she was proud when she bought her home and even prouder after renovating it. She was excited to sell it.
She said last month a contractor came to repair the vacant home and noticed someone inside.
Cruz was told all of the locks had also been changed.

If the police cannot figure out who owns a house or the law lets people take houses like this - what do people expect
is going to happen? You cannot just take the law into your own hands because the police will definitely do something
about that.
