Circles?

I have an ability that i want to make that uses dummy units, the only problem is i cant figure out how to spawn the dummys in a circle around the casting unit. I would also like them to be able to move outward from where they started, if that is possible. So can anyone help?

I know using GUI you can make various dummys spawned at a certain distance from the casting unit all from various angles from the units facing position.

So for example (this isn't exact coding at all):

Unit casts 'circle summon spell'

w/e conditions = to true

Then create dummy unit at position of casting units facing angle at 500 distance away
create dummy unit at position of casting units facing angle -20 at 500 distance away
etc -40, -60, -80 until -340 is achieved.

Does gui leak? Yes it does, but the circle concept should work.

Use a loop, For Loop Integer A will work fine, inside the loop use create your unit with a polar projection, where the angle is 360/ the loop integer. The loop should run once for every unit you want to create.

Here's a trigger straight out of my map. This spawns 8 Dummy units around my Unit each 45º apart from each other. Then they cast a spell.

• For each (Integer A) from 1 to 8, do (Actions)
  • Loop - Actions
    • Unit - Create 1 Dracul Land Effect for (Owner of uTransformCaster) at ((Position of uTransformCaster) offset by 150.00 towards (45.00 x (Real((Integer A)))) degrees) facing (Position of uTransformCaster)
    • Unit - Add a 3.00 second Generic expiration timer to (Last created unit)
    • Set uLandEffectCasters[(Integer A)] = (Last created unit)
    • If ((Level of Fly for uTransformCaster) Equal to 1) then do (Unit - Add Land Damage Level 1 to uLandEffectCasters[(Integer A)]) else do (Do nothing)
    • If ((Level of Fly for uTransformCaster) Equal to 2) then do (Unit - Add Land Damage Level 2 to uLandEffectCasters[(Integer A)]) else do (Do nothing)
    • If ((Level of Fly for uTransformCaster) Equal to 3) then do (Unit - Add Land Damage Level 3 to uLandEffectCasters[(Integer A)]) else do (Do nothing)
    • If ((Level of Fly for uTransformCaster) Equal to 4) then do (Unit - Add Land Damage Level 4 to uLandEffectCasters[(Integer A)]) else do (Do nothing)
    • Unit - Order uLandEffectCasters[(Integer A)] to Human Blood Mage - Flame Strike (Position of uLandEffectCasters[(Integer A)])

To be sure your map won't lag i suggest you to correct these leak

at ((Position of uTransformCaster)
and
facing (Position of uTransformCaster)
