comp doesnt connect to router at startup

hello,
i just reformatted my comp and i have fully updated windows, bios, and mobo drivers. every time i turn my computer on, it doesnt have a connection to my router. until i reset the router. before i reformatted i had no problems with my router or anything like this.

OS type, router type, and connection type? It sounds like it might be a DHCP issue. Have you tried giving your computer a static IP?

vista, linksys WRT54G, wpa2- psk connection. ill try setting up a static ip.

I would suggest configuring your router's settings via typing the Global ip- number into your browser. You can see more about that in the wc3 hosting tutorial.
