Copying

I have an old map project that I abandoned a while ago. I started a new project recently and I want to get an old custom unit off of my old project, but I don't know if I can even do that. You can't have more than one World Editor open at once and I can't just hit ctrl+C to copy it from one map to the other. Am I going to have to make another one from scratch?

you can right click "copy unit" then on the left hand side of the oject editor rightclick "paste unit"

Right click the unit and do "copy." Then simply open up your other map and paste the unit into the object editor for that map. Then if you need to copy/paste more things, you can use the "Window" tab to switch between those 2 maps; doing it that way is much faster.

Open up both maps. File > Open Map for the first one, and File > Open Map for the second one too. This doesn't mean both are visible at the same time, but if you click on the top "Window" You can switch between the maps, therefor copy and paste is available.

open both maps....then u can swap the maps by clicking on the maps name on the window tab

Open only 1 World Editor, but press Ctrl+O to open your old project, and then your new project.

And actually you can use Ctrl+C. Click on the 'Windows' tab on the top of the World Editor, then head to your old project. Go to Object Editor and click on the desired unit and then press Ctrl+C.

Then, press on the Windows tab again, but this time choose your new project. From there, head to Object Editor and press Ctrl+V.

It works.
