I tried searching for this but the two words are so common is was excessive.

Is there a place that shows what each damage type does. Basically what resists each type and what doesn't and so on. There are many damage types and I only know a few of them. Thank you.

BTW the Damage types are:
Unknown
Normal
Enhanced
Fire
Cold
Lightning
Poison
Disease
Divine
Magic
Sonic
Acid
Force
Death
Mind
Plant
Defensive
Demolition
Slow Poison
Spirit Link
Shadow Strike
Universal

Thank you in advance.

do you mean in the standard warcraft 3 game? coz there really isnt that many.

for damage types:
normal
piercing
siege
hero
chaos
magic

for armour types:
normal
fortified
hero
divine
[not sure if there are more]

if you look at the gameplay constants you should be able to find a rough table for the damage bonuses/reductions for each armour/damage type under something like "damage bonus table" or something like that

btw someone correct me if im wrong, but all abilities do magic damage which does full damage to all armour types except divine

You misunderstood. Those are attack types, not damage types. I have attached an image of the damage types.

I don't know much about it either myself, but If I am correct Force multiplies the damage by 4, and cold slows down the target and dealing normal damage. I don't know about the rest though. :/

I have used universal before but it damages my units also. I know I could guess on most of them but I don't like to guess. They have to do something.

Dregonx: So if I put to damage for 500 to a unit it would deal 2000?

Poison - Probably won't kill units.
Disease - Might be same a poison.
Divine - Only damage that goes 100% through Chaos armour
Demolition - Counts as physical and magic damage(reduced by armor and resistance)
Spirit Link - Probably gives a suicide event, rather than death.
Universal - Ignores magic resistance

I'm making educated guesses or quoting people on those. I should run some tests myself.

Italic Parts aren't sure.

Unknown - Will ever do the damage
Normal - Normal Damages
Enhanced - Normal Damages more used in Unit Cause Damage Area
Fire - Will ever do the damage, more used in Unit Cause Damage Area
Cold - Like the cold effect
Lightning - Instant Damage without the small wait of 0.01~0.02 seconds
Poison - Can not kill units
Disease - Like Poison, more used in Unit Cause Damage Area
Divine - Done by Jazradel
Magic - Magical Attacks, like Spells! (Notice Anti-Magic Amulet if you get what I want to tell you)
Sonic - Lightning type more used in Unit Cause Damage Area
Acid - Disease more used in Unit Cause Damage Area with a lot of units
Force - I DO NOT KNOW
Death - Undead Attack
Mind - Magical Attacks, more used in Unit Cause Damage Area
Plant - Natural Attacks
Defensive - Normal+Fire Damages more used in Unit Cause Damage Area
Demolition - Reduced by Armor Resistance, like a normal attack, but ignores defence type
Slow Poison - Won't kill unit, most of the times used in a Single Target with a repeated timer
Spirit Link : Suicide Event
Shadow Strike : You know.
Universal : Goes thought anything, and does ever full damage.

Yeah pretty much. It could be because I had critical strike on or something but I did notice that it did more damage then it normally does, and I mean alot more, I remember it was about 200 damage the trigger was going by, and it ended up killing the unit and it had about over a 1000 health, I'm not for 100% sure that's what it does, but it looks like it does more then the average damage. Could also have advantages and disadvantages against certain armor as well.

Reviving an old thread as it wasn't answered and a few searches here did not bring up anything.

What do all the different damage types do ?

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
