I'm not sure I understand the "dependencies" at all... What are they used for? What does it even refer to? All I know is if I have it on a certain dependency, certain units can/cannot be used..?
The dependency sets where it finds the data for every item in the data editor, including units and doodads. So if you load the Liberty Multi dependency, it loads all the units for multiplayer. If you load the Liberty Campaign dependency, it would load all the units used in the campaign. For a simple unit such as a marine, there would be different copies of the unit in each of the dependencies. In the Liberty Campaign dependency, the marine would have different stats than the one in the Liberty Multi dependency. The reason for this is so Blizzard can continue to make changes to the multiplayer aspect of the game without affecting the balance of the campaign (because they will only alter the data in the Liberty Multi dependency.
Finally finding about some of the bots that are flooding the users online - bytespider apparently is a huge offender here - ignores robots.txt and comes in from a ton of different IPs
Ghan has said he has fixed this. Monovertex please confirm this fix. This was only a problem with people that had signatures in the upper levels like not the special members but the respected members.
