Error: Unit's showing up as balls

So the marine is the reg unit, and the balls are the units that i made fallowing this tut http://www.sc2mapster.com/api-docs/getting-started-with-galaxy-edit/creating-your/. I fallowed the steps, step by step, double, triple checked everything. Everything is the way it's set up on the tut. What is going on? Any ideas?:banghead:

Your units will show up as spheres if the unit's actor does not have a model associated with it.

The field is called Art - Model.

Edit: I believe something was changed in phase 2 that made it so you have to redeclare the model for the actor when you duplicate an actor. The actor for marine points to the /marine.m3, and your duplicate will point to /marine2.m3 which does not exist. It changes it to marine2 because the new id for the duplicated actor is named marine2.

Ok so instead of making multiple posts, I will just post here. Now that the model shows on the map, when i test run he has 1hp, only armor, and nothing on the command board... :banghead: When i try to move him, i get "No unit's to handle this command" or something like that. Ok... So i went and took a look at the marine, compared it to the one i made, and fixed some things.

1) Ability - Abilities + (Attack|Move)
2) Ability - Command Card + ():((Move|Attack)):((Undefined|Undefined)

They basicly match the Marine, with a few things missing. But that's not important. Why won't the rine move? Why is the HP one? And why does only his armor appear? Oh, and I almost forgot. Under the Marine's Atk and Def (The reg marine) It says Light - Biological, but not on my marine... Sorry, i'm more used to W3 editor, so I know nothing about sc2 editor, except what the tut's show, and they don't explain stuff like this.

Glad you got your marine showing up.

Most a unit's stats can be changed in the Unit's tab. I'm guessing you created a new unit from scratch instead of dupilicating the marine. That will create a unit without move/attack/etc commands and it will also have 1 hp and default unit types.

You have given your unit move and attack, that's good. Give it stop as well. You also have to define the abilities in your command card. For example, modify the move button: Set Command Type to Ability Command, Ability and Ability Command to Move.

The reason your unit does can't shoot is it has no weapon associate with it. You need to give it a weapon in the Combat - Weapons + field.

Haha. Thank you. Also I had to mod a few of the movement fields. Only the atk command showed up, until i gave him a ms, accel rate, ect. Now he's speeding across the map one shooting stuff. Thanks a bunch. Now that i know the basic's its time to move on.

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
