Extract JASS from a map file?

So an idiot friend of mine turned off my lightswitch.. killing power to my computer

I didn't notice until it was too late and my computer just happened to shut off right in the middle of a map save.. (actually, at the very end of it)

so my map is now not openable in the editor killing all the work ive done today


is it possible for me to copy the JASS code out of my map (hoping that it saved properly) and paste it back into an older version?

You can change this now in User CP.

Not nicely.
Althought you could open the map in an MPQ editor and look for the war3map.j file (I think its called that).

Then just search for your function names and see if they are there.

Like I said, its not neat as it has no formatting but ive done it in the past.

If you use Newgen, It might be in your newgen folder.
Newgen > Logs > currentmapscript.j

:)
