PARIS (AP) - A French gay soccer team says its members were victims of homophobia when a team of Muslim players refused to play a match against them.

The Paris Foot Gay team says Tuesday it received an e-mail from the Creteil Bebel club canceling a match scheduled for last Sunday.

"Because of the principles of our team, which is a team of devout Muslims, we can't play against you," the e-mail said, according to Paris Foot Gay. The e-mail received Saturday said, "Our convictions are much more important than a simple football match."

Paris Foot Gay said in a statement that it asked the amateur league to sanction Creteil Bebel.

I think that this is just ridicolus. It's a childsgame for crying out loud, not a damn battle of life and death.

I think that the muslims should be forced to play against a team of pigs and the gays should be forced to play against a team of women.
That would be a playfull punishment to me;)

It's not as bad as the muslims playing against pigs, but they where the offenders and should thus have the greater punishment:p

The game was cancelled?! The hell?! So neither team got a result but kind of a "bye"?!

That's ridiculously unfair for the rest of the league. Everyone else has to play except these two teams? Bullshit on that!

Well, for me, I don't understand why the hell the french team has to announce their sexuality to the world.

If this is the case then I want to see a Russian dominatrix volleyball team, or a Japanese "I love bukkake" team.

Seriously, sports are meant to be fun I understand that, but what the hell.

They should be allowed to not play the gay team if they don't want to, but not for the reason that they're gay.

By the way, once you all find girlfriends, you'll realize it's not cool to hate on gays anymore.

So if I believe that straight people are evil, or that Brazilians are evil, I shouldn't have to play their teams? And yes, if you read religious texts they are often nonsensical and very much resemble fairy tales.

You're talking to someone that's been engaged twice (and still am pretty homophobic, so that argument blows. What does having a girlfriend have to do with anything? I still don't want a guy touching me) and I'm not arguing with you about religion. I've read 'religious texts' although I generally call it a Bible, and if you want to play the same game TSE does for it. Not a great way to gain respect from most people, and is about at par (probably more so) than the missionaries that must annoy you (they usually go away if I ask them to, atheists don't seem to want to stop).

A lot of those people would probably be willing to get pretty fucked up to win. I have a cousin who was in high school and refused to stop playing basketball when he broke his wrist. He tried to avoid telling anyone, actually, and that was before he was doing it for a living.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
