Get the number of the variable of an array?

Is this possible? trying to get the number of the unit in a unit array, that is stored in another trigger.

Iterate through the array.

Alternately, save the unit's array index in a second integer array or a hashtable, keyed to the unit's handle ID or its custom value (if using a unit indexer like AIDS.)
