Hello. Another tiny question.

Hello all of ya.

Let's just say that I'd like to have a passive ability called: "Cheat Death", which does the following:

Level 1 - A unit (that has Cheat Death learned) has less than or equal to 15%life for the next 5 seconds will have 99.9% damage reduction.

Level 2 - >> >> >> less than or equal to 15% life for the next 5.5 seconds will have 99.9% damage reduction...and so on and so forth.

You got the point I guess

Could you please tell me how can I make a trigger that reduces damage taken? And a secondary question, how can you cause a unit to damage another unit by the distance walked?

For this you need a periodic event trigger.
-That checks at least every second if Cheat_Death_Unit has less than or equal to 15% hp.

The only problem with this is if you want several units to have the same ability. Then you'll need to check it for several units every second. Using array-variables.

I am looking something that when the Unit that has the Cheat Death ability when it goes 15% or less hit points, then the damage reduction takes place. Could some1 tell me how in the world will I place in the trigger the damage reduction? Is there any default abilirt that reduces the damage taken but can also be converted in "%"? If yes please do tell me.

How about if when the unit has less than x% of life you give him a devotion aura with a modified buff which says " cheat death " and make so the devotion aura would give like 100000000000000 ( aka alot ) armor? Then wait for x seconds and remove the devotion aura? Unless i'm missing something in what you want. Also make the devotion aura only effect self?

Hehe. Thanks for the idea. But I really need not to give "armor" to the unit, just make the unit to have 99.9% damage reduction in all possible ways for the next 5 seconds. If this is possible please answer me ^_^

Nope everything is not possible.. If it wc3 could be 10 games in one. ( aka maps would be like completly different games )

Try this: Create several abilities (Hardened Skin) Which reduces attack damage of enemies as you select.Then when you are attacked,try To add via triggers the ordered Ability,which will have the effect you select...

Thanks for the Hardened Skin idea man, but what I would like to know is if there is a way to make it have a "%" damage reduction and how to make it work via trigger as you said.
