@Inflicted: Any hero idea is fine. I'm not planning on making any maps ATM, all I've been doing for the past few months is making heroes. Some are more complicated than others, but all of them have the same goal - to be heroes, part of a database that can be withdrawn and utilised at any time, for any purpose. (*cliche*:rolleyes:) So there isn't a theme, nor is there any specification as to what sort of map the hero goes into. The main thing is the idea stays.:)

All suggestions are quite useful, I could make one of them in about a week or so if exams weren't taking up so much time anyway.:( Hopefully I can make one over the holidays.

@B0nd0: Simple ideas are perfectly fine, I won't criticise anything - it's your idea, I'm just adopting it and trying to realise it. :thup: Though I'm not too sure, how does Powder Load work? If it means +1 Combo Point per attack, wouldn't that add points way too fast? :confused:

@Neuro: Any idea is fine, as mentioned previously, elementals included. I disagree with the idea that seeing invisible units isn't worth an ability slot, though; It might help in RPGs, like on quests to find secrets that can't be approached from close range, or avoiding dangerous traps. :cool:

P.S. How is Damage+Slow a Storm Bolt with reduced MS(Damage+Stun+Slow)? More like Cripple that does damage, or something like that. :p

@Everybody else: Useful ideas, everyone. I'll try to work on as many as possible, and hopefully get them done in order of suggestion. :thup:

Except for Lord Phailhard, of course. That deserves to be done ASAP. :D

Suggesting ideas or pointing out faults and suggesting improvements on existing ones is helping; Calling other ideas useless and saying nothing else isn't helping, it's just derogatory. :mad: Let's hope more ideas come out than pure discussion (which is fine by me, just that trying to improve productivity has always been a habit of mine :eek:).

P.P.S: Smileys don't look so good when they only appear at the end of sentences. :banghead:

Well there would be no point in leveling it up actually, so lemme rephrase that spell into a percentage amount of chance to add a combo point for example 35%/45%/55%/65%. That eould balance the hero out I think.

Before you rage at me, i am not critizising. Like you said above, your powder load has no point in being leveled up.



The Heavy Gunner grants a temporaily attack speed bonus depending on the amount of combo points stored. Consumes all of his combo points once used.
1 point: 20% bonus lasts 3 seconds.
2 points: 30% bonus lasts 3 seconds.
3 points: 40% bonus lasts 3 seconds.
4 points: 55% bonus lasts 3 seconds.
5 points: 75% bonus lasts 4 seconds.
Aswel as this ability, if I read it correctly it uses the same amount of points on all levels of the ability.

But an interesting idea, i'l give you that.

Um another idea lol.

Elemental Mage - Intellegence - Ranged

Firbolt - Emites a normal firebolt that deals 125/150/175/200 + 10/15/20/25 % of the caster's intellegence and stunning for 0.6/0.7/0.8/0.9 seconds.

Blue Flamenation - Turns the caster blue for 6 seconds, and whilest in this form has increased mana regeneration (increases p/l) and any firebolt cast, causes a second blue one to emerge after a short delay dealing the same damage and stunning for the same duration.

Lightning Specialist - Whenever the Elemental Mage casts a spell a lightning nova emerges from within him dealing 80/100/120/140 + 15% of the caster's intellegence and slowing movement speed by 15/20/25/30% for 3.5 seconds.

Master of the Elements - Enrages him for 8 seconds, causing his attack speed to increase by 35/50/65 % for the duration and every attack emites a chain lightning that bounces up to 6 times to the attacked enemy and units around him dealing 20/40/60 + 20/30/40 % of his intellegence. If 'Blue Flamenation' is active, then the mana regeneration increase is doubled, and if Firebolt is cast another fireball is released after a further delay which is yellow and deals and stuns for the same amount as the original.

Model: perhaps that guy that turns into a crow or something like the ArchMage.

Classification: Squishy (Low-Hit points and armor), Low damage, Heavy caster, Lots of mana

Lol, this might take some time to make. But have fun if your up for the challenge:)

Hmm you're right. No no I'm not gonna rage at you, but there must be a way to make such a spell.. Like there's a limit of how many combo points a hero can store per level of the ability. Like the first level of the spell has a maximum of 2 combos, then 3 etc. Or something similar

Yeah, if you made that abilities maximum possible amount drained set to like 2/3/4/5. Then it's not bad.
But yeah your going to have an insane amount of combo points if they have a decent attack speed.
Needs a limit.

Technically, yes. :) I'll try to make as many as possible, so that it won't be too difficult to pluck out that hero and use him somewhere else if I need to, or even to give to someone else as a demonstration.

I knew someone was going to question this type of thinking sooner or later. Some might find it a bit :nuts:.

See? Raging at people or demoralizing them doesn't help matters; Pointing out faults and giving better ideas does. This is why I'm a pacifist :).

EDIT: I just realised this is a more expanded, less limited version of Neuro's Hero Contest. Maybe people could try out ideas in here to be their submissions :thup:.

Deathfire Mage - Intellegence - Ranged

Enflame - (Single Target-Instant) Ignites an enemy and draining the life from it, stealing 25/35/45/55 of his life, and 11/12/13/14% of the targeted enemies Intellegence per second for 4 seconds. If either the caster dies, or the target dies during the duration, the amounts are returned. Can only target an enemy hero. Add's a fire buff to the enemy while pared.

Death Touch - (Passive) Apon attacking an enemy that has the 'Enflamed' buff apon it, it shall drain 5/6/7/8% of its maximum hit points and return it to the Deathfire Mage in mana points.

Hellish Flare - (Activatable, no target, Channeling) After channeling for 1.5 seconds (special animation shown), then a devilish scream is let out with a Fire Nova that strikes all enemies that get hit by it dealing 20/30/40/50 damage and applying the cast of 'Enflame' apon all hit units. This will deal damage to units and hero's, but not restore life. Will only steal Intellegence from Hero units. Values are dependant on level of Enflame. Duration is the same.

Deathfire Infernal - (Castable-Area Target) Fiery meteor crashes into the ground dealing an AoE damage on collision of 350/450/550 and then rolls for a distance depending on the level and the Intellegence of the caster. Deals damage equal to 30% of the hit units' maximum hit points + 2/3/4 x the casters Intellegence. Cannot hit one unit more than once while rolling. If the target is enflamed, then he takes an additional 15/25/35 % of the caster's maximum mana in damage.


Classifications: Squishy (Low-Hit points and armor), Low damage, Heavy caster, Lots of mana

A challenge? Hopefully not too difficult - I'm tolerant, but I admit to rage-quitting at times. Is Enflame supposed to be channeling?

This hero is probably unoriginal and simple but I don't think she's all that easy to make either. At least for me she isn't. :)

Black Cat - Agility

Model: Some chick with a gun

Skills:

Misfortune - The Black Cat dashes towards a target location, cursing every unit in the way. The curse reduces armor by 3/5/7 and makes the afflicted units' attacks miss 20/30/40% of the time.

Cat's Eye (Passive) - Attacks with unbelievable precision. Attacks never miss even when the target has evasive abilities and gives the Black Cat a 15% chance to score a direct hit dealing 2/3/4 times more damage.

Barrage - The Black Cat loads up her guns with special bullets and attacks 55/70/85% faster, with each attack causing a .5 second mini-stun. Lasts for 5 seconds.

Femme Fatale - Fires one shot at the target with a bullet coated with dark magic, leaving a cursed mark. The mark lasts for 8 seconds. The curse prevents the target from casting any spells and grants the black cat vision of the target. During this interval the Black Cat's killing intent is multiplied exponentially, increasing the effectiveness of her skills.

- Misfortune deals 200 damage in addition to its effects.
- Cat's Eye's critical chance is increased to 25%
- Barrage's stun duration is increased to 1 second.

Windslasher - Agility

Boots of the Wind - Passive Ability

Increase movement speed and agility by:
LVL 1 - 10%
LVL 2 - 15%
LVL 3 - 20%

Infinity Slash - Active ability
- Slash trough the enemy several times inflicting serious injury and bleeding
LVL 1 - 50 dmg (one slash) and 5% bleeding (takes 5% more damage) over 10 seconds. Consumes 2* (heroes agility) mana. Cooldown 30 seconds
LVL 2 - 150 dmg (three slashes) and 15% bleeding over 20 seconds. Consumes 4* (heroes agility) mana. Cooldown 45 seconds
LVL 3 - 250 dmg (five slashes) and 25% bleeding over 30 seconds. Consumes 6* (heroes agility) manna. Cooldown 60 seconds

Flexible - Active ability
- Makes the Windslasher faster and harder to hit but he takes damage over time and more damage if hit
LVL 1 - 10% dodge, 5% more damage taken, 10% lost hitpoints. Duration - 20 seconds. Consumes 50 mana. Cooldown 30 seconds
LVL 2 - 20% dodge, 10% more damage taken, 15% lost hitpoints. Duration - 30 seconds. Consumes 100 mana. Cooldown 45 seconds
LVL 3 - 30% dodge, 15% more damage taken, 20% lost hitpoints. Duration - 40 seconds. Consumes 150 mana. Cooldown 60 seconds

Blades of the wind - Active ability (ultimate)
Masters of the wind are able to create wind swords which can slash multiple enemies at once.
LVL 1 - Create a wind sword send it blazing to up to 6 enemies dealing (heroes agility)*5*(hero level)/2 damage to each. Consumes 200 mana. Cooldown 120 seconds

@Crimson: Original? I should think so. Simple? Not too hard - made up of a combination of default skills, so it doesn't seem to need too much triggering.

@TheLegend: Interesting, moderate difficulty (meaning it might take some time). But wind models are scarce, even on Hive.

I think Black Cat was an anime or something. And the idea is interesting, and it fits well.

Well...I couldn't think of a name for an assassin then Train Heartnet came to mind so...yeah. I took his nickname.

Well, simply because it's harder to find a combination of stand-alone spells to fit on a single hero. It might make sense to put certain spells on certain heroes, but there isn't the feel of synergy between the skills.

You didn't give us a set description though, lol.
You said 'random heroes' and the title is 'hero ideas'.
Not something like 'Archer Spell Ideas'.

Reading through idea threads can sometimes spark an idea.
Or you can find something that you can edit to what you want.
If you give us a theme, we could more easily help you :)
