I've seen a couple people ask for this, but it was never made. Someone has made a different version of this in the past, however it leaks and it is more complex than it needs to be. So here is mine.

This spell launches a missile at a target. The missile will attempt to hit the target, but can miss if the target moves to fast.



You will need KaTTaNa's Handle Vars system, along with a gamecache variable called "GameCache" case sensitive and without quotes. If you already have it, you can skip this.

Importing:
The only thing you need to import is the HandleVars system above and the actual trigger inside the map. Once you have imported the spell, you MUST change the settings inside the trigger. You can customize which spell the trigger goes with, which unit the missile is, the turn rate of the missile, the damage caused for each level of the ability, and how fast the missile travels. You must have an ability to cast this, and a dummy unit that has the Locust ability.

Extras:
-You can change how long the missile will stay alive by adding a negative regeneration rate to the dummy missile unit.
-You can change the model art of the missile unit to be whatever you want.

u dont null ur locs, and u do some uneeded things, like

could be 1 line

u dont clear the timers cache either, so that is a leak as well

and its kinda weird how if they target is right in front of u attacking u, the missile will shoot out in a circle, and just circle around the target

Yeah, i forgot to flush xD.

I recently started jassing, so I'm getting there. ;)

Fixed.

And if you want the missile to work at close range, change the random angle to 0.

Second...you need some implementation instructions.
As a separate (disabled) trigger...mention that it needs the local handle vars system, link to its topic here, note that the unit and the ability have to be copied and have their ids edited etc.

I would check it out, but I'm too lazy to get all of those extra things... Try making a spell similar to this (however it works) without having to import extra crap. Other than the importing sounds cool.

God I am stupid.

Cool spell! I noticed something though, when it "misses" and blows up, even if it's close it doesn't do dmg. Am I seeing wrong, or does it only do damage when it "hits". I think it should do damage even if it misses if it's close

Isn't it a little to bit easy to evade, you can see it coming because it's slow and if you just move to the left/right it starts to circle aroud you and dies :p.

I think you can improbe it by making it faster.

But hey, I'm just a n00b.

Most likely it can easily be changed by the users. It's slow for demonstration purposes, you wouldn't be able to see that it can miss if it moves too fast.

Nice spell but...

I love this spell, finally somone uses a little bit more fantasy when creating a spell. Though I love this spell, I can't use it since it's in Jass. If you could make it in GUI or tell me how to do to use Jass created spells. Please tell me

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
