How Do I make My Map Dark?

How do you make a map dark to were light from doodads like fire pits n torches really stand out? An example would be like how Diablo II was in dark areas.

Lol, fogs, as in making it foggy to add a sense of darkness and really brings out light.

Use that; it will completely remove all default lighting. It is impossible to see anything without having a light source.

Custom script in GUI. It's alittle above (or at least around) setting a variable.

Never used stuff like GUI or LUA. Can you briefly explain how to use this script?

In the actions, just do "New Action" and you'll see "Do Nothing," two below that, you'll see "Custom Script." Click on "Custom Script" and you'll see a box that has a red "Script." Click the "Script" and enter "call SetDayNightModels("","")" without the quotations.

Is there a way to get rid of the lines?

Try changing the time of the day to night time, and make the color of the doodads black or a dark shade of another color.

Just disable the option at Game properties?? (I don't have WE infront of me).

It is called 'Masked areas are particularly visible' or something like that. Disable that option, and all will be dark

Go to:

Scenario > Map Properties >

Use Terrain fog to TRUE

Change colour to BLACK

set Z start to 0.00

set Z end to X

X = suggesting 3000 ish
