How do you change the default camera?

how do you take the camera away from the ground more than where it is originally in the editor??

that's an easy one...

go to the camera palette and add a camera facing the direction and angle that you want it to face, then add a trigger that moves the game camera to that camera (the one that you just made) and there you have it...
