How to edit the model of the unit?

I was searching for this in the Data editor but It looks like so complicated. I made 1 dark templar and then I edited his model somehow, I dunno how and sometimes he spawns as the usual templar and sometimes he is with 1 sword(Like a zealot or something). How can I change its model successfully? And I would be glad if someone told me how to edit the projectile of the ranged unit? Ty for your time

'thing is editing a model (or pretty much anything), you have to comb through a lot of data.
and Model is a type of its own.

For the unit's model (any of the unit subtypes), you have to go to the

Unit -> Actor -> Model

in short, go to the unit's actor. there find the actor's model field
and set it to another default one...

Weapons have Effects... in this case a Launch Missile (Effect).
The Launch Missile uses a Projectile(Unit).

Projectiles are units themselves and have Actors and actors have Models.

Also, recall that the Dark Templar has two different models. One is randomly chosen when a Dark Templar is created.
You can change this behaviour at Unit -> Model -> Variation Count, I believe.

So when you guys are here mind giving me a small tip on how to use variables? It's so different from the wc3 editor. You set variables in different sections. Do I set them in the same trigger or not?
