i'm working on a project right now, linky on my sig..
idk where to put this, map thread or here.. so i guess it's here to recieve more comments.
and i'm planning to make this into a good multiplayer map,
but a good single player map as well.
i've been combing the internet for ideas (heros/gameplay/skills...)
and i've turned to some other games for inspiration..
then i stumbled upon this post from the league of legends forums:
basically, the risk idea for single player.
(check the thread for more info)
there will be a 'super' hero boss at the opposite end of the map,
you just got into the island,
then you train to fight the random bosses scattered into areas of the map..
doing so will grant you more movement space and access to other stuff (items/areas)
then in the end you battle the boss..
sounds ok?

Risk Style Single Player
Would Risk style single player make sense in League of Legends? Perhaps even in multiplayer matchups against a couple friends?
I'm thinking that each region would be protected by one specific avatar upgraded up to a certain level, depending on how many upgrades have been allotted to this Avatar during gameplay. Movement of "armies" would involve swapping avatars between two regions. On successful attack of another region, the region you left gets to have a new avatar without upgrades.
Just an idea. I am looking forward to playing LoL but am completely ignorant of the genre: you may have noticed from my lack of specific terminology above. I quite like the idea of Risk style gameplay in RTS titles (i.e. Dawn of War / Tiberium Wars).
