A map I have been working on a little here and there, and I have finally decided to take it up more seriously. This is like your classic kodo tag, except with new great features.


v. 1.00

*Brand new lush terrain, started from scratch on it and I'm very proud of it, like nothing you have ever seen in a kodo tag, I think this adds a lot to the luster of the map, if anyone would like to help me improve it, it would be welcomed greatly!!!

*New multiboard and game counter, see how many kodos you have killed, how many times you have died, and how long until you win!

*4 game lengths (15, 25, 35, 45 minutes) and 4 difficulties (Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane)

*Classic Kodo towers and builders, with 1 new builder(elementalist) who builds 5 brand new towers each with custom abilities, and a new upgrade building where you can upgrade the armor, hp, and speed of your units and buildings

*No more pesky server splits and no memory leaks at all, this map runs smooth as silk

*Custom minimap image, I made it myself, but I am not very good at them, if anyone feels like making me a new minimap image and loading Screen, it would be very much appreciated!!!!

Test, tell me what you think, give me ideas. bugs, etc.

Here's the comment you didn't want to see:

"Lush" has a different meaning.
Seems like it's only two tiles, grass and sand.

Your waterfalls seem to appear out of thin air...

And, now, for the biggest hate feature I have on any map:
THERE ARE NO BORDERS!

There's no borders.
I'd highly recommend having a look at some Blizzard melee maps,
especially at the map borders.

Made me survive a couple seconds longer...

I totally suck at this.
Like so many other map types.

What I would have liked to see though, would have been some explanation as to what's actually going on.
With some really slow start, even more so on "really easy, 15 minutes".

I would have liked to point out any trigger bugs, if I see some and if there are some.
Well, I'll have a look at the triggers if I find some free time.
However, I had wanted to actually notice the "problems" while playing... :(

like I have said before, I am no good at terrain really, but It is the best I have done before, and I was proud of it, and your have to admit, if you have ever played a kodo tag before, it is 50x better then any previously

and as I said, any help with terrain would be welcomed......I pose a challenge, to anyone who thinks they can make it better, should you choose to accept, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!

and what is all this about borders and such? and you have said before my watefalls suck, that is the only way I know how to make em :(

well since the game is meant for a full hosue preferably,other ppl can save you once you've died, so this displays how many times you have died this game, and how many kodos you have killed

the game is made for a full house, but preferable at lest 3-4 players at least, by urself is just suicide :)

sry, as i said its meant for more ppl, maybe I could put a solo mode in, but its made for multiplayer.....so maybe jsut for testing, and i could add a quest in that explains everything, that aint a bad idea

TY for your reponse, hope there are more to come, plz ppl test it out

type "debug" to get all the builders and never die, so you can try everything out

Sorry, no, never did.
I've seen, however, a great many terrains that got "man, that's totally great",
and I just thought "hm, well... yes, there's some terrain".

Then again... that's just me.

It's not bad.
Everything is clearly visible, easily accessible... and so on.
But, somehow, there's this special touch missing...

The outer edges of the map.
Where the map ends.
All around of it.
Where you can't walk anymore.

The game prevents you from walking off limits, but I really do prefer a terrain that simply doesn't allow walking off...
Trees, rocks, deep water, whatever... anything that makes you stop just by seeing it.

(I rarely, if ever, use the word "suck" to describe anything (unless I do refer to myself)...)

They seem to go up first, before actually falling.
The top is, somewhat, too much at the top...

Uhm... yes. I said "15 minutes".
God only knows how long it will take to actually make it for a full 15 minutes.

Sounds like a plan.
Even more so for people like me who have no idea what a Kodo Tag, or any other Tag, map is supposed to mean or do.

It's a nice idea, but, I really don't enjoy playing it. I played tags some mounths ago... I don't know why, I just don't like them anymore...
I think they are the same all the time...


/But what do I know? I'm just a dumb swede...

Ace, you any good with terrain...????? if so, I may have a use for you


and Zakyath, that is your opinion and you are entitled to as much, but from a lack of a good reason, I tend to regard such comments as such, a lack of good reasoning....


and for everyoneelse who ignors me... jk.....comments? suggestions??? ideas?????

Alright ive finished the terrain. I didnt do much with doodads, kept your layout. changed ground textures, some trees, top left and bottom right corner.

Mainly kept your doodads because you said you felt you did good job, and i'd say you did, has nice feel to it now.

Btw i played 15 mins easy.. the kodos didnt wander (i won though!)

Jimpy edited my terrain a bit, let me know what you all think, if his is better, or if you like it the way it was

also fixed a bug I created when optimizing triggers which stopped kodos from attacking, I think

first is old one, 2nd is new one

PLZ PPL IDEAS!!!!

as far as completion, it is in playable stage, but far from all the new features that I want to implement, as well as the ever eluding good mnimap iamge and loading screen hopefully someone will make for me

Latest version, new terrain, changed so you get diff gold depending on difficulty, made it a little easier too since ppl on b net were bitching that they could not beat it and other were easier, rofl, little pansies

a few more optimizations as well, nothing to major

still hoping someone may make me a minimap image/loading screen


as well as no one cares to give me any ideas...... :(

Find some nice spot on the map, put a couple Kodos there, and make a screenshot.
Crop / Resize / Resample... use as minimap.

That may not be the greatest ever, but
- it's simple
- if you don't find a nice spot in your own map, you have a problem anyway
- it easily beats the actual minimap



As for ideas, I would have to beat it first, or, at least, come really close to beating it...
Won't happen any time soon though :p


You really don't need to worry about any leaked player groups in the very last trigger ever to run...

haha true, o well

added 3 mercenaries( 2 with custom skins, and 1 wth a custom model on spell), each with neat custom mutliinstanceable spells, took out friendly fire( cant go round killing other ppls dudes, only your own), added saves into multiboard, and a few more optimizations, and a item shop for your merc.

*added Scientist( all towers have custom model)
*some bug / typo / hotkey fixes
*even more trigger optimization( half are now completely JASS)
*balance changes, tried to make a little harder, Kodos now grow stronger as the game progresses
*some other varius minor changes
