I have an idea to bring from the 360 to battlenet, but I'm not too advanced in triggers, so can someone help me out with how to make the triggers for each section?
thanks a lot, and if there are any additions that would spice the game up do tell please. :D

Left 4 Dead

If you havent heard about this game, its a survival horror.there will be 8 people separated into 2 teams randomly:
Boss Infected, and Survivors.

Survivors: there will be 4 people, these 4 people will have 3 lives.
Lives: when a survivor's life goes 0, its body is left there for a fellow survivor to "pick up". If all bodies are on the ground at once, the survivors lose the round. these bodies cannot be affected by the "infected". when a survivor has one life left, if he dies, hes gone for the rest of the round.the survivors must survive for 15 minutes.if all survivor's have 0 lives, the round is reset, the "infected" score one point. but if the survivors survive for 15 minutes, they score a point, and the round resets.the number of rounds will be voted upon by the players. im not sure how the weapons will work for the survivors, but in the actual game it works a lot like counter strike with a buy zone.

Boss Infected: there are 4 types:
The Boomer- an obese zombie that has the ability to vomit on the survivors, causing their screens to become distorted and green, causing the survivors that are sprayed to become 10% slower. upon death, the boomer spew blood on the survivors around it, making a beacon on the map exposing the affected survivors to the boss infected for one minute.
The Hunter- has the ability to jump into higher cliff levels, and can sprint which causes it to run 35% faster.
The Smoker- has the ability to grasp survivors from a good 40 feet away with a long tongue like appendage, and has the ability to make a fog of black smoke, causing nearby survivors's screens to become distorted and black, but this causes the smoker to lose 50% of his health.
The Tank- large amounts of health and damage, can throw survivors, causing the affected survivor to be stunned for 3 seconds as well as be thrown a ways.
the boss infected have no spawn limit, and can keep spawning until the end of the 15 minutes. Extra with each kill, infected or survivor, you get money. infected can buy zombie minions and survivors can buy weapons, or however the system works for the survivors.
The way i actually want weapons to work, you have each slot differently.
Slot 1- primary (assult weapons, rifles, etc)
Slot 2- secondary (pistols etc)
Slot 3- head armor
Slot 4- body armor
Slot 5- accessories (grenades, med packs, ammunition)
Slot 6- accessories (grenades, med packs, ammunition)
Not sure how ammunition will work, if anyone has any ideas please tell.
The weapon system goes like this:
When you have a gun in slot one, you dont have an A attack button, but you get an ability that uses A to attack according to the primary weapon you have, same goes for secondary weapons.
You cant hold 2 primary weapons, 2 secondary weapons, 2 body armors etc.

It will be in a city map, might be third person, not sure. i will use lots of imported models for this map.

I'd suggest not taking on such a big task for your first map [if this is your first] :eek: .

no, ive made many maps, but i want to make a more advanced map.
im usually making RPGs, and i even made a few shooters with advanced triggers, but idk my way around these triggers, so i came here for some help.

Ahh, okay.
Well, I'd help with the survivor triggering, but I'm working on my own map.

PS: the map is just an idea right now, it isn't in editor yet.

        Player Group - Pick every player in AllPlayers and do (Actions)
            Loop - Actions
                Set Random = (Random integer number between 1 and (Number of players in AllPlayers))
                If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
                    If - Conditions
                        Random Less than (Random / 2)
                    Then - Actions
                        Player Group - Remove (Picked player) from AllPlayers
                        Player Group - Add (Picked player) to Dead
                    Else - Actions
                        Player Group - Remove (Picked player) from AllPlayers
                        Player Group - Add (Picked player) to Dead


That might work for splitting the teams up equally, assuming they're an even number :D.

do you have any idea how to make the whole "lives" thing (survivors get 3 lives and must be "picked up") and all that jazz?
i really need help with the whole thing from scratch, i love the idea i just wish i knew how to put all the triggers and variables together to make it work.

yes, yes they are :p
its a survival game, but its split in two teams, so you can be the survivors or the hunters and you can actually play as a zombie, thats how the actual game works.
cant wait to get L4D!

LIGHTING!!!! make sure the map is DARK AS FUCK and you have flashlights and all kinds of things like flares and such... Also add in minimal environment light and make the survivors fight to see. And it mkaes the game really hard. And a 3rd person veiw would be best. I got 2 GUI ammo systems if you want. Make that 3... I got gold and lumber ammo system, Lumber only, and Variable only- command type to see ammunition count... Just PM me if u want em..

Uh, can players play as the zombies? Or are they just survivors?

Didn't know how to edit it, I apologize.
Players can play as zombies, it's 4 survivors vs 4-8 zombies.
They must survive for 10-15 minutes, not sure what cap i should establish
Cant wait to start on it :D

Yes, I'll be sure to edit the lighting to dark, it'll be night.
Flashlight would be an ability all survivors have, but it drains mana slowly. Mana is also energy, survivors cant see each other on the map.
It would be nice to have some ammo systems, thanks a lot if you lend me a few to look over. ;)

Hm... ok, 4 zombies and 4 survivors is cool. Wait, are you saying that without energy/mana players can't see allies on the minimap but with energy/mana they can? Or not at all?

I dont know how to get rid of my second post, ive just registered for this site :D
But if you can tell be thatd be good.
and what i meant to say is, most likely players cant see each other when theyre in fog of war, but they can all ping to where they wanna set up a perimeter. this game might be in third person mode also.
what i meant with mana, is mana is energy, and one natural abilities a survivor can use is flash light, where the lighting is substantially increased around the survivor while draining mana. i might need help with the lighting effects tho. :eek:

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
