Lore of the Protectors v1.2

Lore of the Protectors v1.31b
Snowy Map

A version of Lore of the Protectors for the Holidays. You can download it here. A lot of balancing and bug fixes went to this version since 1.2.

Lore of the Protectors is an AoS style map, with all new 29 unique heroes, a shop full of new items, and secrets to discover like some rare items that only drops occasionally and the mysterious ghost pig. A lot of fine detail was put in here so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

-Change Log-
- Bone Daddy's Mutilation level requirement fixed
- Bone Daddy's Mutilation mana cost increased: 250/300/350
- Bone Daddy's Piene cooldown and mana cost bug fixed
- Dice's Replicas deals 30% damage and takes trice the damage.
- Dok'Nahk's Tidal Ward now has spell immunity
- Evandesro's Chain Shackles mana cost increased: 100/110/120/130
- Jackuzstrai's Mana Steal channel duration increased: 4 seconds, same amount of mana
- Kain Atmo's Judgement Bolt mana cost increased: 100/110/120/130
- Paragon's Vortex damage bug fixed
- Paragon's Vortex damage increased: 60/100/140 per second
- Paragon's Vortex's Tornado toss removed
- Sahna's Undone bug fixed (stupid variables!)
- Sargeras' Malboro cooldown increased: 210 seconds

in the next version, i'm going to add a second tavern and i might start producing 2 versions of the map per release. one is this classic AoS style map and the other is Fort Siege...

yeah. it was my very 1st map and i actually kinda played safe there. i might hold the map project though as work is becoming increasingly busy...

Some people at Epic War rated it a 1 :(. You need to update a lot if you want others to start playing your map.

ah yes i know. if you noticed, most of the maps it was with at the time were also rated 1. some bloke was random voting us all.

about the update, well, it's just that i when i make an update i wanna really do a lot of stuff before releasing it, so it would really be called an update. that's why it takes me about a month or two to release a new one...

i've discovered some disturbing bugs in v1.2 lately so i released a quick fix. here's LotP v1.2b:

fixed a pathing problem in the Scourge base and rebalanced the creep upgrades. also tweaked some stuff (see change log for details). i still can't update here so i'm giving out epicwar links at the moment...

    Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
