Making a new map...

Hey, whenever i make a new map i get quite far and put in some neat features with lots of hour's of work. Then afterwards i just can't be bothered to finish what would be a good map (In my eyes =]) So i want to really stick to a(n) (O)rpg Of some sort. I'm allright at making the map's it's just i finish a lump of it then it fades off and my interest is lost.
I was also thinking of making a Wc3 version of Karazahn (Which my bro wants me to do) and stuff.
I was thinking, seeing as A dungeon map has considerebey less work than a full Blown RPG that is hould make the raid map to get me back into the feel of WE.
Any suggestions? :rolleyes:

Make Maps like Warchasers and release new versions on a site, so people can try to clear the game! Make it hard, like Impossible Bosses Beta, but cool ^^

Yeah, I once thought to make a 2c3 Karazhan =), but whatever.

If you really want to follow wow kara's rules here are few ideas :

-Put accent on buffs.
-Make it that is it possible fail to kill a boss [which mean : not easy]
-A unit other than tank can easily die in 2-3 hits.
-Bosses' fight should be almost same, but map area doesn't matter as pulls.
-When a group wipe on bosses, boss should get back to 100% health and players cant come back to the fight unless they are rezzed...
-Well here is the fun part : add a -/(command) to the map =): Ex : /laugh ....

If you need more ideas, pm me ill send you a lot more with details than those generic ones.

Yeah, I never finish anything either. Ever. I have like 50 WIPs.
Personally, I like to make RPGs based off of manga that I read. Like Inuyasha, or Baki.

I think i'll start to make the Kara map onetime, i did put a /roll trigger on one of my maps which can be quite easy to implement :p

At least 95% of my maps have not and probably will not be released.

As for the / commands, you could do something like: (freehand)

Code:
Events: 
     Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing /laugh

Conditions:

Actions: 
     Floating Text - Create Floating Text that reads "Haha" above Heroes[Player Number of (Triggering Player)] with colouring 100% 100% 100%
     Game - Display to (All Players) the text (Player name of (Triggering Player) laughs.

You will just need to set all heroes into a unit array.

That'll be really cool especially with floating text!
I could import a few sounds aswell, but i'll have to be careful on the map size....
