You can use Vexorian's map optimizer, which decreases the size of the map aswell as protecting it.

There's Vexorians Map Optimizer... it is the best one I think, you can also use "Heavylock", but that once caused my map to Fatal Error. You can also protect your map the easy way:

Create 2 empty text documents
Import them
Change the custom path of the first one to: war3map.wtg
Change the custom path of the second one to: war3map.w3g
