Considering the big f^*&ing demon in the trailer, I'd say fictional creatures are likely to make some sort of appearance

well in Max Payne... there was this drug called Valkyr which makes you hallucinate like mad! when taken...

Yeah I can hardly remember the plot to max payne, but I'm sure it was all revolving around that drug.... where as this movie trailer makes it sound like he is actually fighting against hell or the occult or something. Which again, maybe he was, I can't remember lol

If you want to see a good movie with a max payne feel to it check out Death Sentence ... thoroughly enjoyable for an action movie. I'm not so sure about this Max Payne movie tho, I mean I like Wahlberg and Max Payne is cool... yet the trailer doesn't seem to excite me too much. I'll still see it, so I'm gonna reserve my final judgement til then.

I really like max payne.. because of.. awesome narrative character guy... because it explains what the character felt at "that" moment/scene etc..

that is what i like about max payne...

yeah Death Sentence is like that, that's why I compared it to Max Payne. It builds a decent amount of emotional tension around the main character losing his son and shows him change from being the white-collared family man to a revenge fueled hate machine. The Max Payne trailer doesn't give me the feeling that it is going to be coming from that angle so much

And that movie Death Sentence, what is it about? I didn't really get it - he is protecting his family from the criminals? Did his son die in the shop crime scene?

I'm not sure if max payne has been released yet. Atleast not in aust, but it's coming soon.... I see the posters everywhere.

Without giving away too much yeah, due to some unfortunate events the main character's son is killed and instead of letting the legal system handle it he seeks personal justice. It's a good revenge flick, shows how an ordinary man's life and goals can change in an instant, and how detrimental jumping on the downward spiral of revenge can be. The first half of the movie is quite emotional, with the second half containing some good over-the-top action.

Max Payne Movie was awesome

It still has the plot of the drug valkyr.

although instead of making you live in a green colored world.you hallucinate ragnarok, the end of the world in which the flesh of fallen angels. are coming to get you.

the fun part.

the actor of Max Payne. while carrying a shotgun. mimics the Max Payne carrying shotgun(game) which was.. XD awesome.

the atmosphere is Good ToO



I rate it 3/3 = AWESOME
because. at the end of the movie. I didn't find anything to rant about.

+ the after credits suggests a sequel.

But I thought the movie was great. Worth seeing.

thi movie is not so cool but i love<3 the game soooo much ive beaten it out.Wanna to get the second Max Payne game cant imagine what it would be like!!:thup:

I'm just now getting ready to watch this as a rental, for the first time

It really looks good from the trailers, but I wasn't huge into the video game. It was good, but I'm not a big shooter gamer. Gah.

Either way, I'll write more on what I think after I've had something to think about!
