More than 255 upgrades

I was wondering if anywone knows how to get more than 255 upgrades, I have seen it b4 on some other map.

Unless you're talking some really serious total conversion, that's not possible (as I understand it)--Starcraft has only 1 byte of memory (capable of storing values from 0-255) allocated for the purpose of each upgrade. To change this value, one would have to edit Starcraft itself rather than just the map, which is rather difficult, since Starcraft's core program is much more thoroughly protected than the map files are. This would also require you to have at least a patch (and probably more) to alter your version of Starcraft such that it would support more than 1 byte for each upgrade.

i think ive seen 256 upgrades , noo...... that was a dream.... i dont think its posible but i really think that ive seen maps with 256 ups , i dont remember if that was a dream
