Try going into Control Panel --> Mouse --> Pointer Options, and see what the speed is set at.

Maybe try it a bit higher and see if it has any effect?

Well, different Mice have different precisions. They are measured in DPI(Dots Per Inch). On some more high-end mice you can set the DPI on the mouse itself and in the driver. An Example would be th Logitech G5. The higher the DPI, the slower the mouse as it is more precise. That is why your old mouse and your new mouse vary.

Just change the sensitivity level in the system settings. That should do fine.

just thought id clarify: the higher the DPI, the more sensitive the mouse, meaning faster and less hand movement needed to get from point A to point B on the screen - it measures the dots per inch of like the mouse moves 1 inch, so the cursor moves that many pixels on the screen

Just increase the sensitivity (or the DPI in the driver, if it came with one)?...

Why would you go take it back?

what there is no "sensetivity" just pointer speed
and why not? a new one is usually always better

whatever XD
i dont even know what that means, but i get what your saying:rolleyes:

It's sort of like a contradiction.. like a Loving hate, living dead or the Darkest Light... etc.. 'Always' means all the time, 'usaully' means most of the time, so your saying most of the time it always works.

edit: oh yeah, I thought I would contribute something :), :p. Hope my definition is clear :D
