Multiple targets with abilities.

I can't seem to make the "web" spell hit more than one target. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Naturally, I dont think it can.

Make a web spell with 0 cooldown and 0 mana cost. Not hero, not item.

Then make an invis dummy unit (bogus model file) and give it locust (so it can't be selected), 0 pathing, and invunerability.

Make a dummy spell (use channel).

When someone uses the dummy spell, have a trigger that:

Creates the dummy unit at point of caster.
Adds a timed life (2 seconds?) to the last created unit.
Add the new web ability to the dummy unit (still via trig)
Pick all the units in the AOE.
Order the dummy to cast new web abil on each one picked.

But how do i make someone use that dummy spell? How will people who play my map use it?

Set the event as When a unit starts casting an ability and the condition as the ability being cast is web then it will do it automatically.

I made the trigger to make it easier:

    Events
        Unit - A unit Begins casting an ability
    Conditions
        (Ability being cast) Equal to Web (Neutral Hostile)
    Actions
        Unit - Create 1 Dummy Unit for (Owner of (Casting unit)) at (Position of (Target unit of ability being cast)) facing Default building facing degrees
        Unit - Add a 5.00 second Generic expiration timer to (Last created unit)
        Unit - Add Web to (Last created unit)
        Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units within 200.00 of (Position of (Last created unit)) matching (((Matching unit) belongs to an ally of (Owner of (Casting unit))) Equal to False)) and do (Actions)
            Loop - Actions
                Unit - Order (Last created unit) to Undead Crypt Fiend - Web (Picked unit)

I think it isnt good to use "Unit - A unit Begins casting an ability"

With this trigger you can klick on the ability and if you are fast enough to click the stop button, the ability wont cost any mana, but the trigger will run... so i would use "Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability"

i think that is it in English, because im german i dont know the real words, but it is something like that... i had the some problem and now it works, the trigger counts how often a spell is used (in my map) and i saw that sometimes it counts, but i gave the unit another order so it didnt use the ability in fact...

Thanks for the help. But i still encountered yet another problem.... The dummy unit did come out with the web skill(i closed the locust just to look). But it just stand there and do nothing....

Did the web skill cost 0 mana and was it able to target ground units?
