Hey guys, sorry for asking a lot of questions here but i seem to be stuck on these problems.
Certain Heroes using different buildings
OK here's the first problem. With my map what i wanted to do was have not a castle as a starting building, but depending on what hero you pick, they each have different buildings. Say for example you pick a human hero, and he'd have human buildings, naga would have a few naga buildings, burning legion have a custom etc. Also i dont mean by picking a human heroo to have human buildings like the melee maps, i wanted to be able to pick any custom building i wanted to be the main building, and tower.
What i needed to know is how do i make it so;
a)when the game starts, you start with no buildings, but once you've picked your hero, it will automatically spawn your heroes main building at a whatever spawn point i wanted.
b)so once this main building is built, you're defeated once it is destroyed and your opponent is defeated once theirs is.
Neutral Taverns
My map can hold 12 players, but can also be 2v2v2v2v2v2, 3v3v3v3, 6v6 and ffa or whatever teams really. Is their a way to make a neutral hero tavern, that all players can select 1 hero from. This would be a starting hero like in dota when the game starts you get to pick 1 hero, but i wanted a nuetral tavern so all players, even if allied or not, choose from the same neutral tavern, then once they have picked their hero that hero isnt able to be choosen by anyone else.
Control Points
I cant remember the name, i think it was called scourge of lordearon or something like that, but this custom map i played had certain control points (they were just circle of powers pretty much), but if you owned these control points, you were able to build buildings on each circle. If an enemy came and destroyed your buildings, they would then control that control point and could build buildings. For my map i wanted to do the same, but i wanted only heroes able to build from these points, not normal units.
So how do i make say 3 circle of powers, 2 small 1 medium, and if you owned medium, you could build a building (building depending on what hero you pick, from above) and 2 towers of my choice.
Choosing where to send Spawned Units
And lastly, i wanted an option (say an icon in the barracks or custom building), that once the player clicks can send spawns of units every 30secs to certain regions on the map, but if has units pathing to one region, he cant send more to a different one. But can use a "cancel" button to stop the current order.
So lets just say that theres 3 control points (mentioned above), top left(TL), centre (c) and top right (TR). So now if the player wanted to attack say TR, he'd click the icon in the barracks "Footman Battalion", and every 30 secs a few units would attack-move to TR. And if he changed his mind he could hit cancel and attack C instead.
And also how would i make it if say no enemy is holding TR,C or TL, a message saying something like "TR isnt held by anyone" would show, and if an ally or no-one at all is holding it, it could say "Cant attack their" or whatever really.
Once again really really sorry for the long post, but im pretty new to editor so i hope most of these can be answered.
