Need help with hide-spell

im trying to make a instantspell where the hero "hides" inside a nearby corpse, but im having trouble with actually hiding the hero, how should i hide the hero? i tried with changing the heros size to 0 but it didnt work:( i need the hero not able to move, if thats not obvious..
any ideas?

I don't know that, I'm not you'll have to change the speed, or maybe metamorphosis the unit into another one unable to move

tested hide unit, but the unit disapeared completely, but i i need the hero to be able to cast spells etc and not visible on the minimap or on the map, i dont think metamorphosis is a good solution because then that unit is still seen in on the map..
there is a spell in Dota that the Lifestealer has, dont remember its name, but it hides the lifestealer inside another unit(not the targeted unit though), but i dont know how its done:( i tried to make a unit with the load and unload ability but i managed to mess it up:eek:

i made the spell to work, but now im having some trouble with my spell, i based the spell of fan of knives, but the problem is that i want the warning message "No usable corpses nearby" to come up if there are no corpses nearby.. i tried to create a dummy with cannibalaze and order it to cast it, but it doesnt work:banghead: i also tried with the pick up corpse ability, but it didnt work either:banghead: any ideas?

be a possible solution?

As far as I know a unit is 'dead' until it's corpse expires and then it's nothing, so this might work.

Give the unit:
1. Permanent Invisibility
2. Ghost

makes the unit invisible completely to enemy units and is able to attack and cast spells while invisible.

if you use metamorph you can change the field in the unit which display hero in minimap

"Hide" basically removes the unit from the game until unhidden. That means the hidden unit cannot attack / use spells or even be selected. And if memory serves even gets rid of the food cost.

the spell in dota hide the hero and select a fake unit with locust to the owner when the owner click on the creep o.o

i think it work like this

use hide unit and create a fake unit with the ability and everytime the owner of the caster select the target creep, deselect it and select the dummy :rolleyes:

i got the spell to work, but since its based on fan of knives it doesnt show the message that there are no usable corpses nearby when there arent.. at first i wanted the hero to be able to cast spells, but it seems like its kinda hard:( heres my trigger:
Trigger:

          • Hide_Corpse Equal to No unit

even if there are no corpses nearby the message doesnt show, so how do i fix it?

Instead of skipping remaining actions.. why don't you put those triggers in the else section?

Also, Why don't you just either A) make a floating text saying "OMG THERE ARE NO CORPSES!!!!" or B) Make a
Trigger:
  • Quest - Display to (Player group((Owner of (Triggering unit)))) the Warning message: |cffff0303Warning:|r There are no nearby corpses!
Instead of making a sequence of events to make a unit try to Cannibalize nothing.

easier to add one action than moving many action..:D

hm, ill try the floating text and the quest message:)

Edit:tried it, but i have a problem, you can cast the spell without actually cast it, is there are way to reset the cooldown for only one ability? if not im gonna need to base my spell of another one that needs corpses nearby and is instant!

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
