Yet another one, eh?

Wc3Warehouse is a new map making community, and you're invited to take part in its creation. Please stop by and register, and contribute to our recently-created community that is just taking root in the Warcraft map-making world.

Give us a visit at www.wc3warehouse.co.nr

Of course the .co.nr is temporary until I scrape up some cash for a .com!

Thanks!

Oh, don't bother posting any negative comments, I'll only acknowledge the existence of positive ones! :D

Even if they're constructive criticism?

Goodluck, but wc3 is at its dying stages, I doubt any sites but allready popular ones will survive\get much activity.

On another note: The forums look nice, but I've seen that exact theme in alot of other wc3 forums before. :p

Constructive criticism isn't negative feedback in my opinion. It only helps people to get better.

True, Daskunk, WC3 may be dying, but that won't stop me from trying to get a community off the ground.

Yeah, I'm browsing for a new theme, but that one will probably stay the default one unless people vote otherwise.

Thanks!

This is an admirable effort, but I hope you recognize that the odds are against you. As mentioned, WC3 is dying and the environment for a new community is not there.

If you're eager to do something, then I would find a map project that interests you and devote your time/resources to that. I think you would get a much better ROI (whatever your measure of success may be).

Question

1) What makes your site interesting and much better than other wc3 site?
2) Is there any specific/special about your site?
3) What is the feature you intend to plan in your site?

We have many wc3 site, most of it usually turn out to be bad or dead due to inactive or lack of member. You need to give a specific info about your site if you want to encourage people to sign up

Maybe you should get into starcraft 2 instead. Thats going to be a large community. (If it ever comes out :p)

ehhh isnt the helper one?
ill just stay here thank you

I wouldn't say that. Nowadays this would be the last place for me to go to if I wanted to display a map I made because map project threads usually die before they get near page 2. Thehelper is mainly just a WE help site.

Not all WC3 players are going to play SC2... They are completely different games. I, for one, won't play starcraft. I don't really like futuristic games.

@Lobster: Yes, Starcraft 2 does look very promising. I am excited to see what the new editor is capable of! However, the game hasn't come out yet, as you know, and as such, I'm content creating a community based around Warcraft 3.

@Septimus: Those are the main questions that EVERY website owner gets asked, aren't they? :) Well, if I answer them, they will probably be extremely generic answers, so I won't bother. My goal, Septimus, is to just create a friendly Warcraft Modding community for anyone that wants to join. It really is that simple, my friend.

Thank you all for taking interest and replying!

I think what your up too is a cool idea. even if warcraft is dieing. if your interested in a star craft site latter on, this will be a good test run.

And besides some times being apart of a smaller net of people can be good.
But large groups have there benefits too.

Sounds quite interesting. I'll join:)

Well, the reason I'm participating and helping, is that I'm almost going to end my Wc3 map-making streak. Am I going to make Sc2 maps? No. Just playing the game and learning how to draw Manga. So I'll give it my best shot:thup:

And why did I choose Wc3warehouse out of so many out there? It's still a new community, and I can have a fresh start off.

I''m currently making a Hero Arena that is 'revolutionary', or atleast different from all other hero arenas out there. Then a map of my choice from all of my other ideas in my corkboard. Those will be my last 2 maps in Wc3, so I expect the community to have fresh and kind members. I'll be needing eager testers for my maps. Of course, I'll help!

Ah, there are the types of comments I was searching for :).

A new community does mean a fresh start, and I suppose that's what has attracted a few of the members thus far!

Thanks you to all the Helper members who have registered! We've already begun to collect a small member base.

Just an update, we can also be reached at www.Wc3W.co.nr now.

Hmm, how do I change my signature?
  • tom_mai78101 tom_mai78101:
Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I am not big on the recipes I am just promoting them - I use the site as a practice place promoting stuff

@tom_mai78101 I must be blind. If I go on my profile I don't see any area to edit the signature; If I go to account details (settings) I don't see any signature area either.

You can get there if you click the bell icon (alerts) and choose preferences from the bottom, signature will be in the menu on the left there https://www.thehelper.net/account/preferences

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
