NewGen & Kaspersky

Just decided to give it another try, and can't get the two to work together, and can't even get the thing to function. I have followed the steps he has posted, have even disabled Kaspersky and then downloaded.

-Am getting the Kaspersky or we.exe is running error, neither of which actually are.
-Have set the path directly to where it is
-1.24 WC3

Any ideas?

You have to disable kaspersky before you ever even think of opening newgen. If kaspersky detects it open even once on that session, it will lock it out, so restart computer, download with kaspersky off, then try again.

(IMO, get nod32 or Windows Live OC instead of kaspersky)

I disabled Kaspersky before downloading NewGen, and I still get the error. And I use Kaspersky because it's what I've grown up with, port filtering and all is really helpful, and I'd much rather just live without some programs then switch antivirus.
