so i have a really old laptop that i was reformating because it was virusf***ed, so i wanted to install windows xp or try to install my beta copy of windows 7
here is what i did:
-put in windows xp disc
-followed instructions for installing
-reformatted the the HDD for a new installation
-stopped there, and took out the xp disk
-put in the windows 7 disk after the computer booted up and asking for system disk
-after putting in the disk it still asked for the system disk
-took out the windows 7 disk and tried the xp disk
-that failed, it still aked for the system disk after i already put into the drive
is it possible that i made it to where the dvd drive does not work by formatting the whole computer?
or is there something else wrong?
the laptop is a TOSHIBA SATELLITE 2615DVD if that helps.
thank you
