Orb of Lightning (new)

Heya! I looked up how to make a passive ability have a cooldown and cost mana every time its used, and i found Orb of Lightning (new), though, it doesnt work for me. The ability doesnt cost mana, has no cooldown. And yes, set mana cost and cooldown on both the orb and the main ability.

Yes. The actual ability (cleave, btw) works, but costs no mana and has no cooldown.

There's your problem. As far as I remember anyhow. Try adding it a ranged unit and see if it works.

Nop, didnt work with a ranged unit either.

Funny, 'cause it sure works for me. What I did:

Orb of Lightning (New):
Cooldown = 0
Manacost = 0

Ability:
Cooldown = x
Manacost = x

Where ability is the ability Orb of Lightning (New) activates.

Maybe its cause i set mana/CD on the actual Orb aswell?
Or cause i made it into a Unit ability rather than Item, ill try "reseting" it.

Changed it, still didnt work. Maybe its just the Cleave ability?

I don't know what it is, I for one just can't get it to not work. Try stripping your unit for every ability 'cept the Orb of Lightning (new).

umm.. maybe 'cause you're adding a passive ability? (cleave).
what tom tried was using an active ability that has cooldown.

Probably, but if i cant use Cleave it defeats the whole point

Maybe you could use something like Acid Bomb with 1 second duration?
