> Raw Data pulls information from a specific object and puts it into writing for JASS (AbiID) coding and tooltips.

Puts it into writing?

> <Obj#;ObjType,ObjData>

There is no "number and type", there is only an ID.

> <A000:AHtb,dataA1>

<A000,DataA1>

> Note: All custom skills will have an Obj #
> The original Blizzard skills only have the ObjType but no Obj#.

No.
See above.

> There are a few data fields that require only the Obj# which are buffs, effects, and related fields.

What?

> When creating tool tips with multiple ranks use the Auto Fill Level feature.

Where is that?

> If you are using Raw Data in the tool tip it will auto change them to the specific level of the object.

Hopefully, yes. Though that depends on how you try to fill it.

> Use Raw Data in tool tips often.

That's a matter of taste.

> Raw Data does not count toward the tool tip letter limit.

How so?

> If you delete the skill, then it will show at 0. It's more precise with <AHtb>

No and no.

> the tooltip can't view real values properly

There is also <ID,data,%> for percent values and <ID,data,.> for decimals.

>Puts it into writing?

Yes for tooltips.

>There is no "number and type", there is only an ID.

Object Type is what the skill is based on. Obj Number, is shown before the object ype.

> <A000:AHtb,dataA1>

<A000,DataA1>

>What?

Press Crtl+D and take a look at the buff for stormbolt.

>Where is that?

Right click tool tips with multiple levels/ranks, auto fill is one of the options.

>That's a matter of taste.

It's a good practice.

> How so?

<A000:AHtb,dataA1> = 100 which is still only 3 digits.

This should be <A000,DataA1>.

What it shows in game is one thing. But the tooltip as such also has some length limit. And "<A000,DataA1>" adds much more than 3 characters.

Good tutorial so far, I can't wait to see where it goes from here. I was looking for a tutorial on this aspect cause I couldn't figure it out.

For me, RawData in abilites and units is VERY usefull. Especially when balancing units, all you need is to change the data of damage/duration/etc. , and not the tooltip too.

Now you should add the RawData for units, like summons, showing their damage, health, etc.

Also, the "type" you would use a RawData for, like Duration = Dur , and so on :p

I know what they mean, and the last number is for level, but i mean for other people that don't.

Actually you can display reals by adding a ,. at the end

EX:

* <A000,DataA1,.> Will display the integer as a real (Only to one decimal place)

As well as others like:
<A000,DataA1,%> will display a decial as a percentage (0.74 as 74)

<A000,DataA1,+> Will display a negative value positive and vice versa
( <A000,DataA1,-> will make positive to a negative)

;)

two questions:
1. Is it possible to make a value have 2 decimal places instead of one?

2. How would i make a value a percentage as well as a positive too?

I have an ability based off the endurance aura which decreases enemy unit's attack rate and movement speed, and at the moment, it is saying -10%.

Just want to know if it is possible to do these two things or will i have to go through each one and do it manually?

Also, although of topic, is there another ability like endurance aura which decreases movement speed and attack rate?

Thanks
Jerm

Signatures can be edit in your account profile. As for the old stuffs, I'm thinking it's because Blizzard is now under Microsoft, and because of Microsoft Xbox going the way it is, it's dreadful.

Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though
  • Varine Varine:
I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work
  • Varine Varine:
Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm
  • Varine Varine:
So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man
  • Varine Varine:
I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.
  • Varine Varine:
Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart
  • Varine Varine:
Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
