I was talking about present tense.

I only have 21 levels. I'm just gonna make the exp requirement high. By the way, how do you set how much exp the hero needs to level up?

Alexander kicks butt :cool: Never forget that. As for this thread, typically when I see a problem or a person I've been helping, I try to see it to the end. *Shrug* Don't ask why. As for availability, mine's been down lately because I am also working on the Broken Ages Mapping (BAM) forum as well. So you'll have to forgive that one.

As for the rules, Shadowy has a point, don't bump constantly, you're only supposed to bump 1 a day, and only if your thread is hitting page 2. Now, please make a list of all your current questions (now that I'm here) and I'll see IF I know the answers to any. :)

How do you make a campaign like The Founding of Durator where you can freely move between maps?

Is there any way to take away the invisibility part of windwalk? And is there any ability besdies windwalk that has backstab damage? I want to make an ability where you use it, and the next attack you do deals extra damage.

How do you change the exp needed to level up for a hero?

These answers are off the top of my head. I can look into anything I don't answer later:

That's fairly complex. You'll need to link the maps in a campaign, and use the acton "Save hero to game cache". I myself have no experience with this, so I can't tell you EXACTLY how to do it. I can speculate, though.

Hmm, I don't think you can take the invisibility away from Wind Walk. For the other part, you COULD do something fairly corny like make a blank Roar, and use triggers to deal extra damage after a wait time. For the red text, that is also triggerable.

I can only assume it's somewhere in the Gameplay Constants. After all...it's a part of gameplay that is, you guessed it! Constant! :D

Just on a second thought, does anyone even know how the Durator Campaign was made? Like, how they did it? Because i want to know if its even possible to move between maps like that before i dedicate too much of my time to it.

Yes it is possible to move between maps like that, look through the Game actions. And, listen to Alexander. You have to save your stuff to the game cache or you will lose it on the map change. It's really complex, and isn't reccomended for beginners.

It IS complex --- you will need to save the hero, item, level, ability, units, etc. in a game cache, then load or whatever the next map, then restore the game cached data, then place the hero in his place, then do all map init triggers, etc. ... :p

Anyways, can you also give me more detail on the game cache thing?
And can you use models of weapons in the wc3 game for other things? Like, on the tutorial site, i saw that someone attached the storm seer's lightning bolts things to a sorceress. Do you have to create that and import the file or can you use it from the game directly?

Same questions except substitute lightning bolts with weapons/armor/wings and storm seer with (insert random hero name here).

'blinks' Wow how a convo about a few small questions can turn into such a huge list of more questions and there is alot of darn in here too. Wow.

Ok I suggest you just mess around with your unprotected map you found and the one provided above. That lets you get more "in tune" with the WE.. After spending a few weeks or so on it you should be able to at least make a 1/2 way decent RPG. I also suggest reading the tutorials at http://www.world-editor-tutorials.thehelper.net/index.php.

And to end this I wish you good luck.

(To the guys helping) Nice job helping, but dont you think he is asking a little too many questions? I think he should go and try to learn a bit more on his own instead of getting evey single awnser givin to him without him having to do much at all and maybe even not learning much from it. I may be wrong but this is my view on it.

Settle down... this is one of the reasons possibly why me and Alexander decided not to let you on our team, because you get really pissed easily... you need to relax k man take a couple deep breaths and just laugh at what people say it helps :p.

CHillax, and learn. I undertsand why you would post alot of questions, but try to find out some of them on your own.

I learned 3/4 of what I know by learning on my own, trial and error, and tutorials :p

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
