ok ApocRhino, but it is a big map, just consentrate on varrock, falador, and a bit of the wildy at the moment, then we work from there.

BlowMyBits You could use the attributes, str, agil, int, as the RS attributes. If its possible to edit them. Then you could have Attack, Strenght and Defense.

Knights I think we might need a bit of finishing touches of the save/load code though, I tried it out and theres like a 40 character code there (whose gonna even bother writing that down) maybe you could find a shorter one?

You could rename Agility as Defense and get rid of the attack speed bonus from it so it just increases your armour. I think it would be pretty hard to simulate Attack though. You could use Intellligence as a base for it since to my memory, in Runescape you don't need Mana just runes. You could then show all the other stats (Magic, Prayer, Crafting etc.) in a multiboard and create them using Integer variables and then add them to the save load code too.

I am not flamming, just stating a fact. Most Recreated games: Lineage, Dark lineage, legend of dragoon ect (all except final fantasy) are rather 'un-popular' specialy in this conidtion because why play a 'recreation' when you can play the real thing. And yes, i happen to like runescpae, and i used to play it i have a level 88, but thats not the point, it wo't be very popular for very long...just a warning...

Nah, that just takes calculations.

Gotta have the max damage set in one variable for each player (let's set it as MaxDmg[0] for red).

Then, whenever someone attacks, just do the following:
Set attackbonus (real) = (hero's agility level + agility given by the item) / 4
Set random = random # between 1 and 100
If random < (33 - int(attackbonus)) then
Deal 0 damage to attacked unit
Else Deal (random # between 1 and MaxDmg[0])

If you want attack to also increase the chance of hitting higher #'s constantly, just add another if statement right after the else, and screw around with the coding above to fit your needs.

I'm originally a level 70 runescape non-member. I know the whole way through the map and I can do terraining and items. I can also do the quests and some triggers. Just no codes and I'm fine. I can't do skinning and modelling as my Windows XP doesn't accept the files for some reason.

There are ways around this, we could come up with an original name, and change various parts and themes in the game to recreate it and make it better and different (just based on rs, like someone suggested in an above post if you had bothered to read).

I dont think we will even skin or model, since this map will already be potentially quite big I dont think we should even think about wasting space on models etc.

You got the trianguler conflict all wrong. Its:
Rangers>Mages because of mages low armor and rangers long range and high magic resistance
Warriors>Rangers because of Warriors strong armor and high damage
Mages>Warriors because of warriors short range and low magic resisteance

yes I'm we will add the ranger mage and warrior, and then once we have the basic game model done we can start balancing it so you have the triangle.

Sorry to bring this up again but this also gives players the ability to excell at a game like this because in the current runescape people like zezima have made it next to impossible to actually become any good at it.
This gives players the opportunity to reinvent themselves and recreate their character into something thats actually possible to be good at.

Also no stupid java viruses, some may say that you dont get them but lets face it 9/10 people who played the real runescape have experienced some sort of bug or virus from java

also ApocRhino how far has the terrain got (just curious) btw don't bother with members at the moment just focus on varrock,maybe lumbridge, and falador+a bit of the wildy

Cause game catche's could be put in on conditions that theres only one player lol.
that would be helpful not counting it will take 3 times longer to finish the whole game

Simply make some simple "anti-teamkill" triggers and do triggers to turn it off when you enter wildy and back on when you exit it. There problem solved!

**EDIT**: For the anti-teamkill triggers you make it so when your character attacks something it checks if the attacked unit is your ally and if it is then it order's your unit to stop or else "Do nothing"
