"Shift" key in World Editor on Macs

Hey all,

Having recently acquired a Mac and being in the process of transitioning from my previous computer, a PC, I'm finding myself with some serious issues concerning World Editor usability. Obviously, there's the annoyance of not having a proper JASS editor for the Mac, but, somewhat more urgently, I'm even running into difficulties with something as simple as terraining. Specifically, the "Shift" key on the Mac, which, to my knowledge, functions almost identically to the "Shift" key in Windows, has almost none of the same functionality in the World Editor. That said, I can't "Shift"+double click to enter negative values in the Object Editor, and I can't "Shift"+"Page Up"/"Page Down" to raise or lower doodads. Needless to say, this is getting in the way of much of my creative doodad use (think, no x/y rotation and no height modification). While I'm sure there may be other issues, these are the two I've identified at the moment, and I'd greatly appreciate if someone familiar with this problem might help me with a way around it.

Thanks so much,

The Hegemuffin

I think I might be able to solve the negative number problem; go to File -> Preferences -> Allow Negative Real Values.

Negative values are already allowed :(

I'm quite familiar with all of this stuff on a PC and using World Editor in general, so, unfortunately, it's definitely the "Shift" key that's not working. Everything else is the same :(

Hey, I know I posted this a while ago, but does anyone have any further insights? I now need a negative value for something else I'm doing and it's still not working (the shift+click thing).

Would copy and pasting the value work?
Example: Type -10 on a Text Editor. Copy '-10'. Paste on the WE.

It's not the apple or option key, though it could definitely be a key combination I'm not aware of. I guess I'll keep trying.

And copy and pasting was a good idea, but I had tried it earlier and all it did was make the editor choke up for a couple of seconds and then the numbers came out without the "minus" sign. :(

Thanks for the ideas. Any other thoughts?
