Shop bug?

My building has an inventory. It also sells items. I added Select Unit and Select Hero to my building and other players can drop items from it. They can literally click the building, drop the items thats in it.

How do I prevent them from doing that?

Is the building the same owner as the hero?

So... your shop has items in it's inventory that players can just right click and then give to themself for free? Why does the shop have items anyway...? If you haven't, base the shop from a goblin shop and there should be no bugs. If you got further problems please explain more in detail.

Okay here is the problem in detail.

I own a shop thats a building. I can build this shop using my unit. The shop has an inventory.

My opponent also has the same shop that he can build and buy stuff from.

I click on my opponent's shop and he has items in it. I can drop his items from his shop! I dont even own the shop!

shops can't have inventories for the same reason units with inventories can't sell items like shops.

Buildings (that can sell items) can have inventory. I just tried it and it works.

Tried to get some inspiration from the race specific shops, like the Arcane Vault?
IIRC, they only work on yourself and allies, though I could just be guessing here...

You're thinking of the shop sharing ability, and yea it only allows allies to use the shop also. Very useful, I use it so you get no benefits of being a 'neutral' ally and not a full fledge ally in my map ^_^

Well the shop might work.

I'm talking about the inventory system.

OKAY AGAIN LET ME SAY THIS. I have an arcane vault with an inventory. I buy potions and put it in my arcane vault.

A person besides myself can click on my arcane vault and then drop the items in that inventory.

^Make the Select Hero / Select Unit ability only target your units.
That ability allows targeted unit to take over the unit itself.
Imagine controlling a unit using that ability.

Why just dont remove that inventory? if you really need it, add some dummy unit with hero inventory who looks like a box/cage/stash/codo/whatever and then player can drop items into stash without fear that items can be stolen
