This was a relatively simple team snowball fight game I designed.

It would be cool to turn this into a more online suitable game with multiple rounds and variable team sizes but although I do have programming/game design experience; I don't know the warcraft editor well enough to really implement such things in a timely fashion (still learning).

I thought this would be a great game to get out for the holiday season and so I wondered if anyone might be interested in getting it to that next level.

Aw, I see. It's like 50x bigger than the max ;) . Well this website works i'm downloading it now.

Yo i'ma trigger the leaderboard too, make it so it displays wins per team and kills per player

Yes, it's working and its fun. K so i'ma remove the sound (just add it back in yourself, then i can attatch it here) and here it is!

YES! Here's the finished map. I'v done some small tweaking to the gameplay and added the option of choosing the number of rounds. I think this is completed enough to post up. Thanx a lot man.

Hmm, I found a problem.. If you throw the snowball, and it starts going then you move, when it lands it does no damage. So, we can make this complicated and trigger something where it creates a unit at the caster and makes it move to the target, and it has immo. When it comes within range of any of the 6 players, it dies. The easy version is just shockwave, but then the snowball would be able to go through people o_o

OK, thorough testing proves your idea works best! We just gotta get rid of the glitch.

we could bypass it by creating an invisible locust unit at that point of action which throws the snowball then gets deleted.

First we create a copy of the snowball toss ability and get rid of the damage and art.
Then we create a locust unit with the original ability and give the fake one to to the snow guys.
Whenever the snow guys use their ability they create a locust unit at their location which uses the original target to throw a snowball. then wait a few second then delete it. Since the locust unit doesnt move it should get rid of the problem.

I'm not sure what sorta delay this might cause though, we'll need to test it.

Well, that proved more difficult then it should've been. Added in some sounds and word CoLoUr

Anywho, here it is!

No worries i'll do it. I havent done locust's yet but I've read up on how to do them so i should be able to figure out a way.

Trust me, what I did was no simple task... In theory my original things should've worked. But figures, in practice they didn't. So I had to rejig a lot of the stuff, and someone that doesn't know how to make dummies or use locust wouldn't have been able to do what I did. Or maybe, depends how smart you are or how much common sense you have:p

Dude! Hurry and check the website, I already have it made for you...

Oh I did my own locust one. I hadn't checked the site.

You should check mine out, yours seems to take a little longer to toss.

I tend to be a really fast learner and I do have previous programming/game design experience.

Yeah, I did that on purpose. K i'll check yours out, but I tested on BNet and people gave me some suggestions.. And I want to put them into our map (already have an idea how to do it)

Choose your wendigo (some have better snowball speed, some have more power etc etc)
Upgrades (upgrade health, casting time, etc)
And I thought of this one... You have an ability that spawns a bunker you can hide in (snow fort!) takes awihle to build though

OK, lets combine ours to make 1.3. I'll use your dummy thing, and mine.. Well rest. I edited some things, like a count down and some coloured words. GJ :D

we could make the simple one Snowball Tournament and make the advanced one Wendigo Snow Wars.
For wendigo snow wars it might be better to use a larger map with more players and no center barrier.


I kinda want to spend some time working on my fishing simulator though. I've learned a bunch already that will help.

    Crazy how much 3d printing has come in the last few years. Sad that it's not as easily modifiable though

    I bought an Ender 3 during the pandemic and tinkered with it all the time. Just bought a Sovol, not as easy. I'm trying to make it use a different nozzle because I have a fuck ton of Volcanos, and they use what is basically a modified volcano that is just a smidge longer, and almost every part on this thing needs to be redone to make it work

    Luckily I have a 3d printer for that, I guess. But it's ridiculous. The regular volcanos are 21mm, these Sovol versions are about 23.5mm

    So, 2.5mm longer. But the thing that measures the bed is about 1.5mm above the nozzle, so if I swap it with a volcano then I'm 1mm behind it. So cool, new bracket to swap that, but THEN the fan shroud to direct air at the part is ALSO going to be .5mm to low, and so I need to redo that, but by doing that it is a little bit off where it should be blowing and it's throwing it at the heating block instead of the part, and fuck man

    I didn't realize they designed this entire thing to NOT be modded. I would have just got a fucking Bambu if I knew that, the whole point was I could fuck with this. And no one else makes shit for Sovol so I have to go through them, and they have... interesting pricing models. So I have a new extruder altogether that I'm taking apart and going to just design a whole new one to use my nozzles. Dumb design.

    Can't just buy a new heatblock, you need to get a whole hotend - so block, heater cartridge, thermistor, heatbreak, and nozzle. And they put this fucking paste in there so I can't take the thermistor or cartridge out with any ease, that's 30 dollars. Or you can get the whole extrudor with the direct driver AND that heatblock for like 50, but you still can't get any of it to come apart

    Partsbuilt has individual parts I found but they're expensive. I think I can get bits swapped around and make this work with generic shit though
